Discovered this park yesterday after seeing it on city map I picked up at the visitor center. Beautiful fall day with leaves falling. We did walk a designated trail but did not walk the entire trail since we were not exactly sure how long it...More

The Davy Dogwood Park is located on the north side of the City of Palestine, just outside the "Loop". Consequently, a lot of folks simply don't take the effort to go see what this amazing location has to offer. In comparison to the flat land...More

The dogwoods only bloom for a short time, but the park is used year round by people. There are plenty of places to have a picnic, or just sit back and relax. There are trials if you like hiking, and they have recently added bike...More

This park is beautiful. It is spacious and set right off of the town of Palestine. I had no idea it was there for the longest time. I certainly had no idea how big and beautiful it was. This is a great place to go...More

It was a nice and fair size park in the city. We enjoyed the drive around the park but we did not see much dogwood around. I wish the direction inside the park were made a little more clear, more signs to direct your path.

This is a very nice way to spend a beautiful day outdoors. The long and winding roads are fun to drive as well... A little disappointed with the park doing a controlled burn in Feb but i'm sure they had their reasons.

Beautiful and serene park! Perfect for families who want to picnic, stroll the paths and roads or just drive through the trails and look at the dogwoods.

It was a little early for anything to be in bloom - and too cold for a picnic just yet. The Annual Dogwood Trails Celebration is the biggest clue for the best blooming time to drive through and in 2018 the weekend activities are evidently...More

The Dogwoods are not blooming yet. The official start of the Dogwood Trails is the weekend of March 23. I hope the blooms hold off until then!
