I found this course on line and have been traveling 20 or so miles to play golf. This was a great experience, the folks were very friendly and willing to help. The course was in good shape except for the sand traps, most were unplayable. From mud to a standing water. The fairways were in great shape and the greens... More

This course was making such marked improvements but something happened. They have now lost most of their greens. I hear they fired the greenskeeper. No wonder. Many of the holes you are just putting on sand or dirt. And, when they do have some grass on the holes that are really bad...they put the pins there. Had more than on... More

You have to book 2 or more people on line to get the 29.95 rate. No single reservations unless you join the club or pay 39.95. Only course in Houston descriminating against singles.

Played on Monday behind 3 very slow regular groups that all played 5-somes. Had to quit after 8 holes before I shot someone. One of the mgrs was very apologetic and gave me free replay. He said those groups were like that every Monday. My real problem was the starter/ranger never warned me or even tried to speed them up.... More

The people here are really nice, and the greens fees are very reasonable, but the pace is almost unbearable. A recent round seemed to be more waiting than playing. The group in front of us fell way behind, hitting multiple balls, and taking an excruciatingly long time on each hole. There was no marshall to speed them up- an early... More

Very nice course. Well with in reasonable rates. Had a good time. Played with three people I had just met. Would play there again just when it's not quite so hot.

I have been playing this course about 3-4 times a month over the last 6 months. This golf course is under new ownership so I will wait to see what happens. Already they have modified the monthly club benefits that you do not get 2 drinks with your round of golf. Really was it costing you that much for me... More

Southwyck is a public course. But being a senior and frequent player in the local area, I am a member of the Senior Palmer Club. Rates are quite favorable and include range balls, two drinks and lunch. The course is a links style and is a lot of fun to play - just a few really tough holes. Bunkers were... More
