The beach is very clean and the sand is clean also. Nice place to sit with kids and build sand castles. IT is not a white sand beach like some of the resort locations but still nice for a Gulf Coast beach.

That is because I have had lifelong experiences of good memories. Military brat and have traveled all over and been to many beaches around the world, but Port A will always be my favorite.

We stayed in local accommodation just off the beach and had the most amazing day. Perfect for kids felt very safe. Take cover all tent as it gets hot and plenty of water as once your there it's a way back to the store.

Not sure ... Wish I had a better answer !!! Because Port A got hit so hard & they said 100% devastation and has no electricity or water as of Friday ....I would say some damage is to be expected!!! Praying for all !!!

I have friends who live there and also own a condo at Sandcastle. I will ask them and if find out anything I will let you know.
