Arrived at 4:30 am... After a 6 1/2 hour drive from Dallas, we crashed on the beach wrapped up in some quilts for a power nap before sunrise. Cranes, pelicans, seagulls and sandpiper woke me in time to take it all in. Grey skies and clouds blended with the sea until hints of pink and orange and blue peaked through and gave better definition. Loved every moment!

Pleasantly surprised by this beach. Soft, clean sand for miles. We were lucky to get a covered picnic table. It’s first come, first served. There are porta johns along the way. Lots of waves for boogie boards. The beach was not crowded. Lots of room for social distancing. We did make day use reservations the night before. I’d come back!

Camped in a 35” motorhome. We are self-contained so cannot comment on restrooms/shower facilities. Overall – We loved it, will return. We stayed in the campground. Pros – - Level sites - Very quiet - Close to beach and Port Aransas - Very friendly staff - Great Verizon and T-Mobile cell and i/n connectivity - Water and electric – no sewage – dump station very conveniently located Cons – - Didn’t stay long enough :) No cons.

enjoyed the RV park, they had back in with electric and water; nice size shower and bathroom. The water was mixed, some days very hot and other days cool at best. They always seemed to have cool air blowing in. Wifi was not very good and cut off all the time. it was just a short walk to the beach. The one big problem was that we got there a day after lots of rain. The RV park was flooded as we had 7 inches of rain after stepping out of our RV. You can dump on your way out.
