Some nice story boards explain what they do. A few aquariums with a few fish in each. And a couple real and large whale bones. If it's a rainy day then check it out

We visited in a group of 14, and had a chance to talk to one of the senior researchers who is working on effects of the chemical environment on fish eggs and the resulting fish. As with many other... In addition to the wetlands and a new native plant area this facility offers Tuesday and Thursday presentations and films for the public. Thursday evening presentations in January and February have included weather, research on seals, and fish research. Easy to understand and stimulating! Come and enjoy.

The displays were very interesting and I love how they depicted the wildlife in Port Aransas area. The walkway outside was wonderful too.

Make sure to take the tour so you know what you are seeing when it washes up on the beach among the cruise ship debris.

Found this place while riding around. Turned out to be interesting visit. Lots to check out on our walk around tour, fish tanks too. No charge either.

We come here for the outdoor "park" with a well-maintained path around the dunes and the pond. Birds love this spot - sit for a while and see who shows up!

We walked the path and enjoyed reading all the facts about the Island habitat. We got there too late to go in, but it on our list of things to do in a couple of months when we go back.

This is another great FREE place to visit with or without kids. We love it here. There are great hands on exhibits to check out and always some good photo ops of many many different types of birds and things. Also got a good view of an oil tanker as it went buy. Recommend checking it out when on the... More

We stopped here to occupy a bit of time before moving on to our next destination. I didn't expect much but wasn't impressed in the slightest. Only one staff member even spoke to us and it was a simple, "good morning" in passing. We wandered around aimlessly hoping to find someone that would at least point us in the direction... More
