If you enjoy history, you will enjoy this monument. While we were there, we got to see some deer as well. Always nice.

yes, worth a visit and a walking wanderabout (or walkabout if hemispherilly challenged or blessed). while not exciting like a Cirque du Soleil, is a good respite from the hubbub of a Salado Stroll

We actually stumbled upon this area and decided to check it out. The ruins of the college were interesting and photographic. It was a hot day so we didn't linger but enjoyed the stop.

If you are in Salado, then take a few minutes to walk the park. It had some wonderful history and ruins. It's free. It's relaxing, and you can learn something. It's a win win.

This is nice quiet, peaceful area. Loved reading the history of the school and seeing the ruins. Hardest part are the steps to the top. Otherwise an easy walk.

A bit of scholarly history. Some info on the grounds. Interesting history and some nice photo opportunities. Worth about a 30 minute visit.
