We create memories! The Wells family has served South Padre Island for 5 generations and we create memories that last a life time! Our Adventure Park is located at the end of State Park Road 100 with forty acres of land spanning from the Gulf of Mexico to the Laguna Madre Bay that provides an unparalleled location for Adventure on South Padre Island. Our horseback rides are along the beach and water's edge and we often see a variety of shoreline and marine life and we get to ride in the remote portion of the Island that few people get to experience. No crowds here! Our Petting Barn is filled with birds and animals we have rescued or have been donated to us for a forever home. Children can enjoy a safe and educational interaction with all of our birds and animals (us big kids too). Dolores also owns The Massage & Healing Arts Center and her licensed and professional Massage Therapists are ready for your pampered needs after a fun day at the beach. Come; make your memories with us! We love what we do and we look forward to exploring the Island with you soon. Doyle & Dolores Wells

I was really excited about visiting this place. I love animals and wanted to go horseback riding. The condition the animals are in broke my heart. There was a baby goat that was attacked by a pig with the flesh around his mouth dangling. The...More

My friend and I took my daughter to the “Petting Barn” over at Island Adventure on South Padre Island on Sunday 9/17/17. Instead of a nice happy girl time, we left feeling saddened and disappointed. The “barn” where they have birds and bunnies was extremely...More

Our family thoroughly enjoyed riding along the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge our guides because the staff is always what makes or breaks a business. Our 9 yo daughter had never ridden a horse before and...More

My sister and I went on the sunset ride and it was beautiful. The ranch is 7 miles north of the town so it's very quiet and pretty secluded. The horses took us along the beach first, where you could have them walk in the...More

The horesback riding at sunset on the beach, over the sand dunes and through the water was just absolutely beautiful! We had a wonderful time and the guides were just fabulous!

So we've been coming to SPI for a number of years and somehow never knew about this place. It's at the very far north end of Hwy 100 (Gulf Blvd turns into it) so not where you'd normally look. We decided to book the 1...More

We signed up for the 3 pm group. We were expecting it to be hot and humid. But surprisingly, we had a great experience riding the horses by the beach. The ocean breeze helped. It is our first time riding horses. We had an awesome...More

I'm really sorry I missed your question. No, we can't allow double riding. Children age 6 will ride their own horse but be on a lead line led by my Staff. We want them to return with a good horse riding experience and... More
