While the Blue Hole is not open to swimming right now, it was still a beautiful, tranquil stop on our visit to Wimberley.

We were fortunate enough to be visiting my brother in Fischer Texas at the same time as the Wimberley Arts Fest 2016 was being held right next to Blue Hole Regional Park. What a perfect time of the year to view this wonder of nature. At this time of the year the temperatures are not too high and everything is... More

I was surprised how nice the Blue Hole was. It is a small park with swimming and picnic tables, very well laid out. It also had soccer fields and hiking trails.

Beautiful park, nice stroll by the river. Wasn't too crowded. I went during the art festival which was great - hear a band, and got to see some amazing artists.

Friday night we went to Blue Hole to hear the free music in the park. It happens every Friday in April. May 5 they are having a local music festival/fundraiser for Blue Hole It only costs five dollars to get in. You can bring your picnic basket and eat while you're listening to the music. No alcohol is allowed though.... More

The swimming hole wasn't open for swimming but we were able to walk around. Looks pristine and inviting. There are ladders for getting in and out plus a super fun rope swing over the water. Not great for really young kids but great for school age and up.

Bang in the middle of the township, this is a must visit place, whether you are starting you day along the trails (running/biking) or relaxing after a long day (dipping you feet in the cool waters) as was the case with us, this is a perfect spot for it all. Do not miss it- the source of the blue-green water... More

Get there early to ensure a spot in on the lawn. Water is freezing (the majority of the creek in this location is heavily shaded). Rope swings and shallow entry-- bring water shoes. Lots of fun to be had here!

The dogs weren't allowed near the actual blue hole swimming area but they are on the nature trails. It was beautiful and they really seemed to enjoy themselves. Definitely recommend for a private and peaceful walk. The blue hole was very pretty but swimming wasn't allowed in March.

Thank Melissa W
