Small state park, would go back for a ranger led night tour

This was ok. We live in Colorado and have a National Park with much bigger sand dunes. But, this place would be fun to go on a ranger led night hike to look for scorpions, etc. I... read more

We were torn whether or not to take the time to side trip to the dunes on our way to Antelope Canyon. We'd asked some locals near Zion and they were "so so" about if we'd think the time was worth it. When we saw the sign we took a quick right and went for it. We will never regret... More

Coral Pink Sand Dunes is an interesting place to visit but given the myriad of places to visit in this area it would be near the bottom of my list. Perhaps this is because I come from an area that has a lot of sand dunes.

These sand dunes are well worth the time to drive to. It is about a 20-25 minute drive to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park from Kanab. So fun to trudge around in the sand and climb to the top of the dunes. We played Bocci Ball and had a splendid time!

My Best Friends dog and I had the dunes to ourselves for about 90 minutes! It's a beautiful and peaceful place. Great for hiking or meditating and relaxing on a dune!

Coral Pink Sand Dunes is not very big but it's a nice place to visit while you are in Kanab. It's only half an hour drive from Kanab. If you've never visited other huge sand dunes, this would be a nice preview. You have to pay $8 entrance fee (per vehicle). I noticed many people went there after 4:30 or... More

The Sand Dunes as far as the eye could see. I was instantly drawn to the forest area that surrounded the area noting how at odds it seemed that sand dunes were surrounded by a pine forest and not the ocean. It was very windy on our vist so we were unable to walk the dunes. The dunes are not... More

We stopped at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park as we headed west and south to Las Vegas from Kanab, UT. We hiked the well-marked trail along the dunes to get an overview of the entire dune field. The vast expanse of pink sand in front of the mountains was spectacular.

Great place to go! Awesome sand dunes. Great for all kinds of outdoor adventures, walking, hiking or four wheeling! They have some pretty yellow flowers in the summer that seem to only grow there.
