This is truly one of those once in a lifetime activities. The property and crater are stunning. The water is pristine and it is an incredible experience. Make sure you make reservations before you go as they rarely have openings with less than 48 hours notice. Th changing rooms are smaller than an airplane bathroom so be prepared.

Just a neat experience to float around in a 90+ degree geothermal crater hot spring, with an open dome above you. It is not huge, so if there's a lot of people it may feel crowded. You can ask when making the reservation, or calling the day before, when are the least crowded times. We've found the early mornings on... More

Tips - As others have said, wear your bathing suit under your clothes - changing rooms are small. No lockers, just shelves. If you are a hotel guest they give you towels, but otherwise, bring your own. Make sure to CHECK-IN FIRST at the office on the other side of the parking lot and be patient when you do get... More

Cool Place to check out if you are in the area. It's a nice drive up here from Salt Lake City also. Beautiful scenery and all kinds of winter activities.

We went as a group of 6 adults and 2 teens. We were not staying at the hotel. We did the following: Wore our bathing suits under our clothes. Brought under garments to change into afterwards. Brought our own towels Brought a hair dryer. What we would have changed: Didn't need the hair dryer. Should have brought a plastic bag... More

We took an extended family group of 13. It was very clean and run very professionally, The attitude of the people working there is really laid back. I liked that. We stayed in the water a lot longer than the 40 minute reservation we had and no one was trying to hurry us out. The babies and children all had... More

The experience is great, floating around in a 90 degree underground water cave. To that extent it is awesome. Unfortunately as some others have pointed out, the check in system has a great need for improvement and processing. If you are unfamiliar with the area you will not have a good idea where to check in. There are not very... More

As part of various scuba diving courses I've taken, I've dove at the crater three separate times. The water is warm and clear, and depending on ground water levels the depth has fluctuated from 30 to 40 feet.

It was dark upon arrival. The signs showing where to go to check in were not visable in the dark. The parking closed to registration was extremely far from available parking. Once we paid a ridiculous extra resort fee we got our keys. We went to our room in the red cottage building. It was 20 degrees outside. We opened... More
