    Gorgeous property
I had a good time soaking here! I shared the cabin with a friend, it was cute and the bed was real comfy. The pools were a nice temperature, and the arch cave in the main pool was awesome. The pools overlook the valley below, providing a nice view. I soaked until about 1am, the open all night aspect is nice.

    Amazing
Very cool place!! We stayed in the cabin which at night was a little scary since the roof was metal we could hear every little thing that fell on it - also heard coyotes. However the cabin itself was very nice and cozy! The hot springs and tubs were amazing And felt great!

    Rustic but enjoyable experience!
This is a very neat experience especially at sunset on a clear night like we had! It is pretty rustic so be prepared. If you can handle roughing it and the charm of an old cast iron bathtub and a little dirt you're going to love it! If you want Pagosa Springs or Glenwood Springs this is not it. If I could change anything it would have been nice to have had a bottle of wine but no alcohol is allowed, but I don't rate it down for that, just would have been nice. The changing rooms are pretty rough, so better come ready to dip and only change on your way out. The staff is very nice too.

    Unique Spring Experience
This place is beautiful and the springs were great! Would definitely recommend. It started getting busy when we were leaving and Ofcourse everyone wants photos in the tubs, but there is plenty of room in the big spring that you can relax in until you get a turn!

    Went at night!🌌
We booked the 7pm slot and it was such a great choice! The sky was crystal clear which made laying in the tubs a better experience than expected! There are several tubs to pick from and then there is the bigger area that has the arch in the hot spring pool. First time here and it was a perfect mix of a natural and rustic atmosphere. I would definitely come back to see the area in the daytime😊

    Relaxing fun
I have followed mystic hot springs for the past couple of years. On this visit to Utah, we were finally able to visit. We brought our 7 and 9 year old sons. We had a fantastic time. I appreciated that it was not overly packed. We had room to move around. We will definitely be back. It is a relaxing and fun place to visit either solo, as a couple, or as a family.

    Dont listen to the naysayers
Not the typical hot springs experience BUT was still worth it. I saw lots of negative reviews before I booked but glad I did not take them seriously. The Springs are what they advertised. 5 private soaking tubs with beautiful view of the distant mountains. Sure they are a bit unconventional but so what. I would not stay in their converted buses passing as accommodations but the springs are worth it if you like hot springs. Glad I didn't listen to the naysayers.

Amazing time and fabulous people ❤️
We always look forward to mystic! My best friend and I have been twice, in February both times. Stayed in a cabin the first time and second we stayed in a bus. The cabin wasn't near as warm as the bus. When we go in the winter we'll go back to the bus. I understand they do concerts in the summer, although never been in the summer, but would like to check that out.

    Unique Experience!
First of all, I highly recommend spending the night in one of the buses in the campground. We stayed in the nature bus. It was painted with a fun mural and the inside was immaculate! Peacocks roam the grounds. We loved this unique experience! The hot springs are fantastic. We were impressed with the level of upkeep in the hot springs area. When you book, you're given a time frame to go for a soak. This was great, because you could truly relax and enjoy yourself with the limited number of people.

    Needs swamp coolers.
I wish I could give the place a five. Cool vibe but like many of these places you feel less rested due to the accommodations. The springs where amazing but the accommodations need at least a swamp cooler. If I RVed, tent or car camped I would give a five star. We quickly realized why 95% of the customers where only there for springs passes.

Wonder what they do with all that money they are taking in? Definitely not putting much or any back into the infrastructure. Feels neglected and unloved, and that someone puts profit over returning $ into improvements, maintenance and serving the clientele. Felt insulted that it's touted as a 'Hippie' haven . Creativity, love, and care sorely missing. More like disrespected sacred healing waters used for big profits. I felt like a sucker paying $25 per person to park in a parking lot with a bunch of old Dead Head buses which didn't include a soaking pass. There were unsafe stairs with no railings and poor lighting.

Busses are not habitable. Hot Springs offer great views, water is nice and hot. I appreciated that they take reservations so not over crowded. Upgrading pathways, stairs, and railings is needed. Also, for the price it is an insult that the only "dressing room" and bathroom is the portable toilet which is a distance from the tubs. I hope the tubs are cleaned as often as they claim but there is no reason why I should assume so.

When we booked we read reviews and description and knew the buses would be rough around the edges. We were prepared for that but not for the ridiculously funky condition of them. I appreciate how cool the collection of buses is but they are no way near ready to be occupied.

I feel duped having paid for a place with gaping cracks, no lock (nor even a latch!), broken and duct taped windows, no water, etc, etc. The “lounge” was a joke. The tiny microwave was broken, and the request to not do dishes in the bathroom sink had to be ignored because there was no water in the outdoor sink.

I’m angry about the condition of the place but also frustrated because the natural hot springs is a special place and I’m glad it has remained unspoiled. The owners could quickly offset the cost for the needed improvements by weatherproofing the buses. Imagine the savings on their electric bill if their guests didn’t have to run the electric heaters and blankets all night! It’s a shameful waste of power really.

I chose to come here for my birthday, and was immediately disappointed when we arrived. This place gave me the impression that someone owned a junkyard and decided to profit off of it by marketing it as a "magical hippie haven" and charging $25 bucks per person. We also paid another $60 to camp, and the campsite was little more than a half dead grass patch with a splintery picnic table. We saw no attendants at all while we were here, no one checked that we had paid or were supposed to be there, you literally could have just walked in for free. After going for a walk around the property we found many piles of litter, decrepit meth-house trailers lining the property, and even a half decomposed deer leg. The hot springs themselves were cute, but again no one checked our information and I highly doubt that they were "cleaned and drained twice daily" as it says on their website. This place is definitely not worth the money, and the owners have some serious fixing up to do if they want to keep charging for it.

We were so excited to soak here. We were however very disappointed to find out our camping fee did not cover our soak. The cost to camp was $25 a person plus a $10 fee. We had to pay another $25 per person to soak in the dilapidated hot springs. We were highly disappointed in the camping there were feces of some sort next to our sewer dump which did not have a cap it had a brick over. All of the sites did not have caps on the sewer that I saw. We were also told that not all of the electrical panels were working so we had to check power before we go all level. The view is beautiful from up top where they have the soaking tubs. I was very nervous to soak as I was unsure how legit it was with what we saw at the camping area and walking up to the hot springs. All in all this place would be fantastic if they put some effort into their sites and the hot springs. I hear there is a free hot springs down the road and I wish we would have know before we booked. If you are looking for unique this is a great spot just lower your expectations. Also, you do not see anyone that manages the area you only talk with someone over the phone which I found to be very impersonal. I did text the owner about the feces near our site and he did not reply unfortunately.

They say funky; I say derelict. They say functional; I say barely. They say resort; I say maybe decades ago. Mystic is definitely in the worst shape of any of the many hot spring “resorts” I’ve visited in the West. What does it have going for it? The hot spring, which flows in ditches, pipes, and hoses into tubs on the hillside and into two concrete pools—one warm and one somewhat hot, no ledges or the like to sit. We did enjoy our night soak, although the night sky was spoiled by the floodlight lighting the entry to the springs. We did appreciate that the management is limiting access to the springs with reservations--we only saw 5 others during our soak. But the rest… The property is run down makeshift buildings, dilapidated trailers, and ragtag accommodations, with amenities and lighting in extreme disrepair. There is zilch landscaping anywhere, and the hillside is a warren of dirt paths and crumbling stairs—treacherous at night if you’re not equipped with a flashlight and aren’t careful. The campground is twenty years past its prime, certainly not worth $60 for a 1 night, 2 person, RV site with hookups—electrical only this time of year (and soaking is Not included in the camping charge). In short, go for the waters, and that’s it.

I enjoyed my bath/experience at the Springs. The weather was extremely hot when we visited but the hot springs were actually very relaxing. The area is very different, old school buses, cabins, communal restroom but it looks like a quaint area. When we arrived we followed the instructions to call for assistance and were guided on where to access the baths. We were the only ones there for about 30 mins until other folks joined. This is definitely a vibe if you’re a nature lover- very earthy and rustic element.

I recommend Mystic Hot Springs because it is a truly magical natural wonder. BUT, know that your session may not truly be private! And my overall impression is that the social media fame it’s recently found itself in leaves the staff unable to keep up with properly running it.

I planned a camp and soak for my 30th here and centered a road trip all the way from MN around The Mystic Springs. The temps didn’t allow for a camp at 12 degrees for the night, so we skipped that. I tried to get in communication via email and phone multiple times to little avail to tell them we wouldn’t camp and had an extra person. No answer for a month or two until an email saying “no problem, we’ll see you when you arrive” after I’d emailed 3 times to check in.

When arriving to the springs, we got conflicting information from the booking email and then two different phone numbers/people you’re supposed to call on how to check in. The people we spoke to were INCREDIBLY RUDE. A simple “park here and walk to the springs ahead” sign would have been totally sufficient.

There were three other groups while we were there, when the soak is advertised as a private session. Someone (who I assume is the owner?) heckled us about having an extra person even though I’d messaged and called ahead of time to let them know that was the case. He told us “he’d do us a favor and let us soak w one extra person since we hadn’t camped the night before but that’s not what we’d agreed to.” With no system, no way to pay on site, and no communication, I’m not sure what exactly we’d “agreed to.”

Checking into and communicating w the people at The Mystic Springs almost ruined the experience all together.

After soaking and meditating and taking in all the natural beauty on my 30th birthday, we headed out and I directed three groups on where to go and how to “check in” as they were coming and we were leaving...

All in all:
Beautiful place! Terrible communication, “system”, signage, and customer service!

The facility itself was pretty run down and not mystic. The bathing spots were very dirty. There were dogs that ruined the hot springs experience and the owner did not have them leave. It felt more like walking into someone’s backyard than going to an attraction. For $25/person and no cancellation/rebooking option, it feels like a rip off.

Just came here for an overnight stay and absolutely loved it! The hot springs are very beautiful and the water in the tubs has varying degrees of temperatures from warm to piping hot. I camped at the campground which was an inexpensive option for staying overnight plus purchasing the soaking passes. The check in process was very simple and the staff were very friendly.
Be warned, this place is very basic/rustic and that it part of its charm (for some). There are some hot springs resorts with hotels and lots of amenities but also come with crowds of people. This place was very quiet without crowds and a simple set up which I really enjoyed.

Arrived for a 7pm soak with my wife. Called as directed and was told to park by the bathroom and walk in. "What bathroom?" A couple minutes of frustration by he and myself occured. The bathroom looked more like a house in the dark. The signs were not lit well enough to see and he kept saying it had a green roof.....It's frickin dark and I can't see any roof color! Walking in, the path "up" is scary and not lit very well. The 1/2 moon helped but the lighting needs improvement and hand rails would be of great help. Let's just say arriving in the dark is problematic. Had a very nice soak. Came back in the morning to get a better view of the area in preparation for our soak later that evening which went much better. Looking around in the light of day you can see the entire place is very very run down. We then checked out the "free" "Red Hills Hot Springs, just two blocks to the North. Very nice. Bathroom RIGHT there; not back down the hill. Hate that he has a "no refund" policy. We won't be back!
