My family of 3 took a full day tour with Navajo Spirit Tours. Luckily for us we were the only guests and had the tour for ourselves. In the first 3 hours we were taken to mystery valley. This is only a few miles outside monument valley, being accessible only by Navajo guides. Mystery Valley has a unique history and... More

Going to the Monument Valley is a long way. You drive for hours. Save driving into Native American Land and this part of the visit was not a DIY. This tour is expensive and book before time over the phone. The commentary and insights from the natives is the best, seen from their viewpoint and the scenery is spectacular. This... More

The sunset tour with Sean was fabulous. Sean explained the Navajo culture in relation to Apache and Mohawk cultures. He even taught us a few Navajo words. He has in-depth knowledge of the landscape and knows the names of each mountain. Sean plays the flute like a professional. The sound of the flute echoed in harmony as he played in... More

My mom and I are on a week long mother-daughter road trip through northern Arizona and Utah. The full day tour with Sean was definitely the highlight of our week. The viewpoints were stunning at every turn, but what drew me in was Sean's depth of knowledge about Navajo culture and history. I appreciated how he offered multiple versions of... More

We took a morning tour with Wilbert Cowboy and had a wonderful experience. There are areas in Monument Valley where you can drive yourself but it's worth the time and money to take a tour with a Navajo Guide. We got to visit some incredible sights that we would not have had access to without a guide. The vehicles are... More

We were treated to more than three hours of Navajo history, cultural understanding of plants and places and connection on a four wheel drive tour through the valley to Teardrop Arch. Larson Homer was a generous and incredibly knowledgeable guide who managed the eleven questioning adults I travelled with using a good dose of humour and a deep spirituality that... More

We had a sunrise Monument Valley tour after our afternoon tour the day before was cancelled due to the park being closed for an event. Even though the sunrise tour costs more than an afternoon tour, we were not charged extra for our inconvenience (without my even asking) and I appreciated that. It was just me and my husband and... Full day tour of Tear Drop Arch and Mystery Valley with Will Cowboy. It was a great day of learning more about the Navajo culture, the people and life in Monumeny Valley. Will shared his knowledge and experience of growing up in the valley and the lessons he learned from his grandfather while showing us the beauty of the valley.... More
