Have never been inside this temple but have enjoyed the visitors center located on the temple grounds. The grounds are beautifully kept and are especially inviting during the Christmas holidays. The temple and grounds cover one city block so touring the grounds is an easy stroll. This is the first LDS temple in Utah and is the only one completed... More

No matter your views on Romney or his religion, the size and style of the St George Temple makes for a good drive by and inspection of grounds at any hour. Night is perhaps even better than daytime viewing. That the stakes (local Mormon) congregations and the larger church devoted such large resources to this edifice even though life was... More

With the red rocks this white structure really stands out. Its a beautiful place to consider your life and future. A visitor center is on site where you can watch movies free of charge to your heart's content.

This is the oldest operating temple of the LDS church, dedicated in 1877. The grounds are lovely and immaculate. From a distance, the unmistakable white structure can be seen as the most prominent feature of downtown St George. If you are interested, there is a visitor center on the grounds where missionaries will give you the history of the temple... More

Beautiful inside and outside. A very historic building with a rich history. We attended a meeting there with many of our relatives and we all agreed it was the highlight of our visit to St. George.

I don't normally feel this odd about a "religious attraction" but when we toured the SLC temple it was like we were being recruited. All the attendants?? I guess that is what you call them..were passing out little info cards and asking these odd questions. At the St. George temple I felt like we were being interviewed and the cult... More

The temple staff were truly great in making sure we felt welcomed. They were very knowledgeable about info regarding temple as well as things to do within the area.

You can see this temple from just about anywhere in St. George proper. I was surprised to learn that it was built way back in the 1870s (they really keep it looking good and new). The folks at the visitor are friendly. Though they will make a soft sell or sales pitch for becoming a Mormon. I politely declined and... More
