The mountains are lovely but this particular trail and area is extremely overcrowded and the hike just isn’t worth the crowds because the view is kind of underwhelming. Big Cottonwood Canyon has better and less crowded trails.

Fairly tough hike as they go. A lot of small boulders to scramble over on the trail, rather than a hiking trail where you can look around as you go. Couple waterfalls are nice along the way. Part way up, it is fairly lush for...More

It's a nice trail but it's become so crowded and congested. I'd go up to Big Cottonwood for better trails.

This is a great trail. The first part to the reservior is easy to moderate good for old and young alike. Takes about 30 to 45 mins to hike from the granite trailhead parking to the reservior. This is a protected watershed so NO DOGS...More

Fairly easy hike. Google Maps did not take us to the right trailhead, but there are signs in the neighborhood and on the road directing people to the proper address of the trailhead. Great views of the mountains. We went in August so the reservoir...More

Fun hike for families, couples, and singles. :) to the lower reservoir. The upper falls is steep but worth the adventure, without kids. The upper part of the falls can be dangerous, because it's very slippery and I've seen people jump across the river that...More

I like the trail to the lower reservoir (short and steep), and beyond that, the trail from the reservoir up to the falls (long and steep). Walking along the trail as it leaves sage brush and enters the woods reminds me of hiking in California...More

Fun hike. Gets you out of the valley really quick and you get to see some fantastic views. Great lake if you want to go a short ways and then great waterfalls if you can go longer.

Fun hike with family 5 mile round trip a little steep and rocky at the top but worth it. Nice for a sunset hike but plan for plenty of time and take water

Backpacked solo up to the Upper Reservoir to stay the night in 3rd week of June. Although the descriptions mention that you can camp near the upper reservoir my recommendation would be to make camp around 2900m before you enter the final long stretch of...More
