We stopped really for the restrooms but ended up walking to the salt. We watched as they were preparing for filming of a new car commercial. It was really a neat place.

Being a family of petrol heads this place was always on our bucket list. Even although the flats are flooded this year and no racing was possible, in no way did this detracted from the atmosphere. It has a special ethereal beauty and tranquillity with...More

Visited this place in October so had some water in the surface. But due to water there wasn't any people in the place so made the experience really awesome.

Never seen a place like this before! We stopped by on the way back to California from a Yellowstone trip, walked on the salt, it looked like white tiles.

I have seen this place in so many car shows that it was a must to visit and experience. The mountains shimmer in the heat and you can imagine seeing the curvature of the earth on the endless salt flats

When we were there all I saw was what I would describe as a very big puddle of water. Maybe 3 parking spaces wide. Otherwise it's a hard surface with a bit of moisture.
