I hoped for more small, independent businesses rather than things such as The Gap. I was still pleased by the lack of traffic (access is denied to vehicles) and the people watching.

Cute little shops, restaurants and bars. I particularly enjoyed the New and Used bookstore (can't remember the name but they had a nice variety of new and used books and staff recommendations.

I really like Church Street Marketplace because it reminds me of the fun pedestrian walking zones in Europe. Plenty of cool, funky shops and a nice variety of restaurants, many with outdoor seating. It is clean and very pleasant with Lake Champlain and its waterfront...More

Great Atmosphere, Great shops, restaurants, music. It is just a fun atmosphere. We wish we had more time to spend. If you go to Burlington you HAVE to go spend time on Church Street.

Lots of interesting shops with friendly owners and staff. The area is closed to car traffic, creating a nice public square for street performers.

Interesting place every Saturday morning, with lots of venders smealselling home cooked meals, a wide range of organic produce from the farming community surrounding Burlington, VT. However, everything is very expensive. For instance, Turkish food was horribly expensive but quite tasty!

We have a dog that we bring downtown during the outdoor eating season, however I am not aware of any eateries where a dog (excepting service dogs, of course) are allowed into the establishment. Sorry
