This is a great place for young children. Toddlers and Preschoolers will have the best time. Besides all the turtles and frogs, fishtanks and a tide pool, young children love the play areas. It's set up as the most awesome preschool! They can play in the science center, little farm stand, kitchen, restaurant, and water table. There is a treehouse... More

A modern natural history museum, the Echo begins with local pre-history, and includes all sorts of hands-on exhibits, including many tanks with fish/amphibians. Well worth a visit - and, if you're a member of another science/natural history museum, you'll have free admission here!

I live an hour from Echo Center and have been there a number of times. The place has become so crowed (especially during school vacations) that it is impossible to enjoy the experience. We drove over an hour with 3 kids who were eager to go. They were ready to leave after 30 min. because it was such a zoo.... More

Hi Mary! Thanks for your review. Yes, vacation weeks (especially the break between Dec 25th & Jan 1st) are VERY busy for us, especially this year. We hope the kiddos weren't too overwhelmed to come back again, we'll have a new Live Butterfly exhibit in February, starting on the 11th and running through Sept 2017! More

We took out 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. She was fascinated looking through the microscope in the Resource room she lived the new Champs room. There were tons of kids there until about 12:00. We stayed through lunch which allowed her to play with some of the toys that the older children had taken over. We had lunch at the... More

This was more of a science center than an aquarium like we thought it was going to be, but we still enjoyed ourselves none the less. Well kept and friendly staff. This would be an ideal afternoon for children for them to go and see some fish and try different experiments throughout the center.

My girlfriend and I came here for the afternoon while in Burlington. Very fun and informative! A blast! We loved the turtles. Be sure you visit the National Geographic theatre for a quick movie as well! We saw "The Alps", it was awesome. Will be back again for sure!

Enjoyed many of the features, but much of the facility is set up to engage the younger visitor. Our 16 year old granddaughter humored her grandparents by not complaining. It is a little expensive for their offerings.

Excellent center to visit especially on a rainy day. They have exhibits to help children understand weather and geologic phenomena. They also have a wonderful play area that has among other things a pretend lighthouse, boat and shops. They also have a reading room with many interesting books for both adults and children.

The new Treehouse imaginative play area is fantastic, the exhibits are very hands on and I have taken kids ages 1 to 9 here, all have had something they liked.

My kids aged 2 and 4 loved it here. They have some nature stuff which was nice, but they also have some science for small kids (showing how water flows--hands-on experience) and a little play store/kitchen for kids which kept their attention for a long time. Most of the things here are hands-on, but might not keep the attention of... More
