Grand Isle is tucked away on Lake Champlain VT and is a real hidden gem. Typical campground setting, fire pits and picnic tables, bathrooms and showers. You can choose between a cabin, lean-to, or straight up campsite with hookups or no hookups. We like to rough it and this is a step up. All the amenities you need and a... More

This is a great place to be with nature! Camping, swimming, hiking, and biking in beautiful Vermont is just very relaxing! Friendly staff. Wi-fi available in a designated area. Clean bathrooms. Clean campsites. Waking up to the sound of birds singing is just really pleasant!

My comparision experience on a ferry in another state was not good and was pleasantly surprised of how well this was run. Wonderful to get out among the sailboats on a picture perfect day. You can walk up a level for some great viewing. Note cash only for this route.

We stayed for four nights on a site near the playground. Beautiful grassy site, large, and plenty of room between sites. Easy walk to the beach. Nice area to ride bikes. Firewood for sale, wifi available at office. My only complaint is that it was loud one of the nights with the fields/playground nearby.

Perhaps my review is biased from having just left a run down and understaffed state campground in New York, but we were very impressed with this site in Vermont. Although no hookups, the bath facilities were clean and the pay showers were hot. Lots of staff doing maintenance and lovely flower beds all around. The $1 coffee in the morning... More

We had a great week camping at Grand Isle State Park. The campground is super clean and quiet at night. Beautiful flowers and a nice waterfront (except remember your beach shoes, no sand just rocks).

I've been spending two weeks around the Fourth of July for ten years. Of the 40 or 50 tent camping camp grounds I've visited, this one is in a class of its own. We have a lean-to 60 ft above Lake Champlain with more than a quarter acre wooded site...plenty of privacy, beautiful views of the lake. Lots of things... More

Our family spent 3 nights here and enjoyed our time in the park. Our site (1A) was quite large and a quick walk to the bathrooms, however, we did not have a view of the lake as I had hoped. Unless you're in a lean-to, I do not think there are any lake view sites. Also, there are NO hook-ups... More
