I have stayed at three state parks in Vermont and all of them have been excellent. The staff are very nice. The facilities are very clean. At Gifford woods the sites actually had been freshly raked and the people doing the work so I'm happy to be there.

You will be hard pressed to find better campsites than these large, level and semi private spots. Very clean facilities and tidy grounds. Level roads for great biking. Easy hike to Quechee Gorge from the campground. The wood they sell is high quality and they deliver it to your site. Lots of fun shops and dining nearby.

We stayed at site #47, which was large and treed. The place was quiet, and felt secluded. For a good walk, take the trail from the campground to Quechee Gorge and make sure to go up to the road as well to view it from the bridge, as that is the best view. Make it a loop hike this way,... More

My wife and I tenet camped here one night. The site that was recommended had a lot of space in between campsites and the bathroom was right across the road. A general store and restaurants are across the main road, a 5 minute drive. We did not have time to adventure around the park but the gorge is a must... More

This is a clean , pretty , dog friendly campground. The restrooms were well maintained. The sites are large & level. There is a trail right from the campground to the bottom of Quechee Gorge , but it is steep in places. Very close to several places to eat and shop. You can get to them without having to drive.... This campground is beautiful. Immaculately clean. The rest rooms are beautiful. Staff is friendly. Quiet if you stay away from the sites along route 4.

We tent camped for 3 nights at the end of August and had a great time, this is one of the nicest campgrounds we've been to in New England (both state park and private campgrounds). The restrooms and showers were very clean (50 cents for 5 minutes) and we saw the staff clean and sweep the camp sites when people... More

The campsites were surprisingly private. The bathrooms were clean. The people who worked there were friendly and helpful. They have no camp store, but they do sell small bundles of firewood for around $6 and 5# bags of ice for $3. We did not attend any of their park talks, but there were several over the weekend (bug scavenger hunt,... More

This was one our our planned stops on a 10 day road trip to the northeast. We just came here to hike and we were pleased. Nice trails and views.

We camped here in a 23' trailer and really appreciate the easy to navigate campground roads and spacious sites. I would say that most of the campsites here you could easily fit in a camper or pop-up without any problems. If you go with the sites closer to Rt. 4 you do have significant road noise though, so try and... More
