June 21st, perfect timing to see “Showy” Lady Slippers. Worth the short easy hike (boardwalk) to see so many clusters of the plant which is endangered in any areas. The tallest of the natural orchids in the Northeast, is is a work of art. The...More

Others have described this well: a wooden walkway through a forest bog off a dirt county road. GPS will help. The treat is to be here in May or June when the lady slippers are in bloom, and in greater profusion than is typical. Saw...More

This is a small bog with MANY ladyslippers. You do have to hit it at the right time to see thousands. We were there this week and saw hundreds. Boardwalk is short, and the woodland trail is about 1/2 mile. Beautiful.

This is a bog with thousands of Lady Slippers. A wooden ramp has been built to protect the ground. Not a lot of parking and a little difficult to find but well worth it.

We stumbled on this while driving back roads. The small parking area is well maintained with crushed stone. The trail itself is a brand new wood boardwalk with wood curbing. An older secondary trail circle the area, but is not as nice as the brand...More
