For a family of 4, kids being 4+ and 8 years of age, Killington is the best as far as ski schools, lessons, or daycare (even options for babies'care). They start quality and age-appropriate ski/snowboard programs for children as young as 2. Our 8 year old started there, he is now an expert/black diamond skier, but still loves a chance... More

It's been 25 years since I skied Killington and the mountain remains the beast of the east. Huge variety of terrain for all abilities. One day was spent carving groomers enjoying the views from the different peaks. Next day in search of bumps, hits, and jumps for the kids. A trip down outer limits to cap off the perfect day.... We visited the week before Christmas as that worked best for our schedule. There were quite a few runs that were still closed. But there were enough open for the kids to get a full day of skiing. It was not crowded. The weather could have been better, but that is beyond our control. Everyone we spoke to was very... More

We skied from January 2-6th, 2017. I expected crowds galore being the second week of Christmas vacation- fortunately it turned out that the American kids had mainly returned to school! So there was never a wait for any chair lift/gondola for the entire week. We skied from 9-4pm every day and experience a wide variety of conditions. The snowmakers worked... More

We enrolled our two boys, ages 10 and 12, in a full day snowboarding lesson at Killington Resort during winter break. We loved that the program was a max of 5 kids per instructor, in fact our kids were in a group of 8 with two instructors. Neither had ever skied or rode before, so we thought this would be... More

Some of the lift systems could do with updating I was surprised how many had no foot rests or wind protectors. The pistes were largely well maintained though suffered from ice towards the end of each day. There's a good selection of pistes across the difficulty range. Parking was ample and facilities good.

Really great place to snowboard. The trails are all long and there are so many to choose from. The only negative is how expensive the food is. So just make sure you pack some snacks for when you get hungry. Definitely one of the best mountains I've been on.

I read the Trip Advisor reviews before planning my trip to Killington. First time skiing on the east coast, I was really disappointed.I am assuming the people who wrote the rave reviews have never skied on the west coast or are not as picky as me. It did not snow for the duration of the time I was there and... More

GoldAdvice, I'm sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations with our snow surfaces during your recent visit. The weather in December here in New England is known to be fickle and I would encourage you to give us another try in February or March when our resort is fully open. More
