Considering it's inside a wilderness area it is relatively accessible. If you have 3 or 4 hours you have more then enough time to get up to the falls, explore, and chill. I have been there many times in all seasons. The hike is not too hard BUT in the winter there are some challenges with ice that can pose... More

Minutes from Manchester village lies the trailhead for the Lye Brook Falls trail. We hiked it on a sunny winter's day and really enjoyed the hike. The trail is well marked and parallels a stream that provides a pleasant background sound for the walk. There are a couple of stream crossings so make sure to have good boots. You wont... More

This is a fun aerobic hike 4.2 miles through the woods to a waterfall. There were walking sticks someone left at the entrance sign which we used and were happy we did. There are a lot of rocks, roots and water so the stick was useful. Loved it..Beautiful and peaceful!

We went up to the top after leave season ended, early November 2016 caught a nice 40 minute Snow squall, left a thin white dusting @ the higher elevation. Forest is mixed vegetation with evergreen groves for cover near the top.Observation area was closes (out of season) Views cleared & were good, panoramic 360 degrees. Saw 6 other hikers the entire time.Fun hike,but... More

Nice hike with some uphill sections that are very manageable. It's gorgeous in the fall, some trees down and hugs a small river in the beginning, but overall gorgeous hike for a few hours to dip out of manchester and enjoy some nature.

We were traveling with 7 year old and only had running shoes so were not really prepared for a real hike. It was a little challenging in some spots but doable with our young child. Beautiful, unique fall at the summit.

As many have said this is a pretty hike, mostly uphill at a fairly steep and steady pace till the last portion. The trailhead was easy to find after being given directions - the closest big road is east Manchester rd. Once on it, look for glen rd. Turn onto glen and in about 100 yards or so you'll see... We looked at the reviews and as I have bad knees we were not sure if it would be too difficult. However we started early and took the climb slow and steady. The return was harder on the knees than the climb. Well worth it a good walk

What a wonderful hike and beautiful falls. Well worth the trip and time. It's quite a rocky trail in spots. Nothing really dangerous.
