Went to this park on a Friday and enjoyed the fall vistas of Molly Stark trail. We went past the gate and a person approached us to tell that the park was asked to be closed and he did not why it was closed for that day. It was very disappointing because we checked the state park website the previous... More

We did a 4 night stay at Molly Stark SP, in Wilmington, VT from Sept 21-Sept 25. We did this camping trip on our Goldwing pulling a Bunkhouse Camping trailer. The campground is just off VT Rt9 in Wilmington, VT, just about 1.5 miles from the center of town. The campground has about 23 campsites, no water or electricity at... More

I haven't stayed at Molly Stark for several years. The first time to was cold and windy and I was in the open sites close to Rte 9. Rte 9 noise is prevalent through much of the campground all though it's much worse in field sites. The highway is going up a fairly steep grade at this point. This time... More

We love Vermont State parks for camping. The lean to option allows you to set a small tent up in the lean to and stay dry. It was pouring rain and it was so nice to be dry and warm. We stayed in the lower loop and the bathrooms were old and not kept up. All the Vermont campgrounds we... More

This was our second camping experience at Molly Stark State Park. We're relatively novice tent campers, a family of five- kids ages 13, 11 and 8. We stayed two nights while participating in the Tough Mudder event at Mt. Snow about 20 minutes away. We had a perfect site right near the bathrooms, with an open area behind where we... More

My wife and I (and our pup) visited this park to hike up to the fire tower on Mt. Olga. The campground was packed for Columbus Day weekend, but that didn't hinder our cisit. In favt, the smell of the campfires added to te start of our hike. The trail to the top was very easy and the ciews from... More

A great early fall day for a short hike. Be sure to climb the fire tower. A little scary and tall, but a breathtaking view of the area.

Smaller state park with a moderate hiking trail to fire tower with awesome views. Stayed in upper camping area at a site with a leanto, makes camping better.Best part was unexpected, newer tiled bathroom facility with free hot showers. Kept extremely clean. Would definitely return for another stay.

WE stayed in a different area of the campground this time- and were SO close to the main road all we could hear was traffic the whole time- and also the section we were in this time had the older bathrooms- and it cost 25cents for every 5 minutes of hot water. But that's pretty standard at campgrounds. The site... More
