We did a 3 mile hike up Monroe Trail to Camel’s Hump in the Green Mountains in Vermont. Best part of the 6 hour hike was how pristine and unspoilt the entire trail was. It’s bear country, since the forest canopy cancels out any direct...More

I enjoyed my first and only stay to date in VT very much! I did a couple of hikes including Camel's Hump, which was challenging, enjoyable and scenic! I look forward to my next visit to VT to summit more of it's top peaks!

Was crowded. Please use the other parking lots if the two top parking lots are full (yes they are farther from trail, but you are about to hike the trail anyhow) It disgusted me to see people pulled to the side of the road and...More

Strenuous climb to the summit - up by Monro - Long, down by Long - Dean - Monro. Well sign-posted, though I wouldn't have wanted to do this in the fog or rain. Pretty steep all the way up and most of the way down....More

Enjoyed this state park and their trails. Would have been better had the rain and thunderstorms held out a little longer. That's NE!

Did this hike over the weekend in nearly 90 degree weather. Glad that we brought enough water with us. The trail climbs very quickly and there are a good number of steep spots. It was also made a little tricky as the trail was still...More

We hiked up the Burrows Trail to the top of Camel's Hump in early June 2017. The views from the top on a sunny day, which we experienced, were excellent. It is a hard trek, though, and there is virtually no view all the way...More

Multiple trails, some challenging with rock scrambles, unbeatable mountain top views and fall foliage in mid October. Located about 40 minutes drive from Burlington.

Hiked Camel's Hump today with peak foliage and it was amazing. I hiked to the summit via Monroe Trail to Dean Trail to the Long Trail and took the Monroe Trail down. It was a fairly strenuous hike especially after you join the Long Trail...More
