Quintessential Vermont at it's very best, Weston offers a historic downtown with country inn charm and unique shopping. Replete with a tinsmith, a working mill wheel, unique galleries and Vermont’s oldest professional theatre company, Weston Playhouse Theatre Company offers traditional summer stock favourites on two stages with opera, art shows, special events and concerts rounding out the remainder of the... The building is old, the floor is wooden boards, there are thousands of items all over - toys, food, soaps, clothing, games, lotions. Such an awesome place to see all the items in person. The catalog doesn't justify it! Go - and plan to spend at least an hour there. You will have so many childhood memories start flooding your... More

I hope you never have to return an item. I have been getting the run around. I return two items, two different days. They could not locate the second item. After one month still no refund. They said they would issue a check over one week ago; today they may get to it next week. I have had multiple phone... More

I Love the Vermont Country Store! We saw things there I haven't seen since I was a kid! There is so much to look through and tons of samples to try. Everytime I go to the VCS I discover something else I "need." It's pretty amazing the store has been in the same family since 1946. It's a great stop... More

We stayed the weekend in Woodstock, took the 50 minute drive down to Weston, and were so happy for the scenic views along the drive. We arrived and found this wonderfully charming store, with unreal tasting opportunities and so many interesting things to shop thru, awesome food to try and just fun with all the reminiscing of old toys and... So many things from my yesteryear! So many things I haven't seen in years. A LOT of local made products that seem to be excellent quality. Vey much a walk back in time, but also very modern items as well. Everyone is very friendly! A Must STOP!

We always love stopping here to see what new old things we can find. Remember looking through your grandmother's medicine cabinet? You'll find a lot of those products at this store. Combined with a voluminous candy section and toy/books galore, kids will appreciate the chance to look around during a long car ride.

We always go to the Vermont Country store each year we visit. Fun place to shop and get locally made products (at least Vermont made). The prices are a little high and it can be crowded, but a nice place to stop. We especially love the old, throw back toys.

We loved this VCS. It's huge and the samples abound! Highlight of the kids trip, especially the fudge samples. We have to stop every time now- or they will revolt.

Once again a North Ridge Tours group is making plans to visit Vermont in September. Our favorite place to lodge our groups is Big Bears Lodge in West Dover. Our hosts Caroline and Steve are wonderful. The BEST place to shop is at the Vermont Country Store in Weston. There you can find that very special item from days gone... More
