This is a great little gem full of information about the Chesapeake Bay and also all about the birds and butterflies that migrate thru the area. The volunteer at the desk was super friendly and very informative.

Occasional White-Tailed Deer. This Refuge is better known for migratory birds; over 400 species. This is a great place for wildlife photography.

There is no charge for the visitor center and the surrounding trails. There is a charge of $13-$15 for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel if you are coming from the south (Virginia Beach) or heading south after visiting.
