Take the time to spend a few hours roaming the grounds of this historic college founded by Thomas Jefferson. There is a free shuttle that can transport you around the campus and into the historic area of downtown Charlottesville. It's easily located off Highway 64. There are many local restaurants from which to choose, if you feel like eating.

Love UVAs baseball stadium. Every seat offers s great view. And they are expanding when season ends. Fans are pleasant and golf carts run regularly assisting anyone who needs the ride

In town for a college information session and tour. The day was a picture perfect spring day. The campus was beautiful. We just saw the highlights with the our tour guide. We would love to come back and wander around more.

Visited while Mr Jefferson's gardens were in full bloom. The azaleas, red buds, and dogwoods are magnificent and there are plenty of quiet places to sit and enjoy the gardens which are tucked behind beautiful serpentine walls. Be sure to go inside of the recently restored rotunda. Visiting the grounds of the University is the perfect complement to a visit... More

This is an amazing place to walk around and snap off a few pictures. The Rotunda completely remodeled is the center piece you want to see from all angle. To include a look inside. The lawn with sleeping quarters on both sides lined with pillars from the rotunda to the center. A sight to see and capture. Brick walk ways... More

We immediately wanted to re-register as students. The rotunda was magnificent. The students are politically engaged. There is a William Faulkner exhibit at one of the libraries through June that is not to be missed.

UVA is a wonderful place to visit. The grounds are beautiful and easily navigable. There is quite a bit to do in around UVA. Restaurants are abundant. Plenty of other sight seeing options in the area.

Visiting from out of town's and being an architect our friends, more than happy to take me and the family to the campus to see how Thomas Jefferson's ideas became a reality. What a beautiful space for the students as well so much history that you were thrown into. Find a spot to park your car and take a walk... More

It was a very rainy day when we were here for a football game so we did not get to explore the campus as much as we would have liked, but it was pretty nonetheless. We had a nice time walking through the whole area, but we did not have time to see any building indoors besides the football stadium.... More

We were in Charlottesville to see Monticello, and decided to stroll through campus. What a fantastic place to see. The architecture is amazing and the grounds are beautiful.
