The place is interesting, pleasant to walk around the shops, the dining experience is not as nice. We felt hurried along by the staff, the food was very expensive for the fare it was...and it was just ok, nothing stellar. So we would not return...but...More

Can't say enough good things.... you might be skeptical and want to turn your nose up at a touristy buffet but the quality of the meal here is worth it. Definitely family friendly, but my date for the day enjoyed it too.

On our way to VA, we stopped at a rest area where one of the workers inside told us about this place and not to miss it. Was glad we got the tip. It is only open mid-day so we timed our visit to Jefferson's...More

For a taste of food from our past, go to Michie Tavern. The chicken is excellent, and I particularly enjoy the stewed tomatoes. Cornbread and all the fixings are here. The dining area is quaint and simple, but clean.

Its a tourist trap. The food was good, not great. Over priced buffet that charges extra for dessert and even a drink! Neat place but felt nickled and dimed on the drink charge.

We received a gift card for Christmas last year and I told my husband the food at the Michie Tavern was more his style of eating than mine. So he took two of his friends with him and they chowed down! He came back raving...More

When we have out of town guests they always need to be accompanied to Monticello. We've been there so many times it has become a burden but for the visit to Michie Tavern that goes along with it. Once you get through the disappointing, cafeteria...More

We love this place. We are greeted at the door by women dressed in days of Jefferson Davis, and many others rode through the Tavern and Inn and then shown a Buffett line. We grab our tray, silverware, and our tin cups. We pick from...More

They have cole slaw. You must pay for the full meal even if you only eat the cole slaw. It is $18 adults and $11 children plus dessert is extra.
