It was a beautiful, but windy day. The highlight was a winding trip through the mash to a close-up view of the ponies. Madison was our extremely calm, competent guide who deftly steered our pontoon boat to the pony herd. She answered all questions about...More

Awesome awesome awesome time on Saltwater Pony Tours. Capt Gene was great, and went out of his way to make sure we saw plenty of ponies. He gave his unique local flavor and insight to the narration. I have taken similar tours around Chincoteague with...More

Nice morning boat ride. Saw ponies from a distance. Disappointed that our guide , though pleasant and rather sweet- was not very informative- unless she was asked questions. Nice smaller boat that was comfortable . We were not able to get into the marshes as...More

Captain Gene was awesome. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and very personable. We got to see ponies up close and dolphins. He even offered my daughter sun screen. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

I can't say enough about Captain Henry and the Saltwater Pony Tour. It was amazing. If you get a chance to visit Chincoteague you have to take this tour. The group is small so you have a chance to get to know other people and...More
