This is a good beach for swimming, sunbathing and there's water skiing etc. for those who want it. There are beds and an umbrella (€8 for two beds/1 umbrella). There's beautiful scenery to watch, with some interesting shades to the rocks (green), and it's a lovely sea for swimming. It's only about 20-25 minutes by bus (€1.80) from Adamas, but... More

Decided to get more domestic - drove out to Paleochori Beach - nice drive, beautiful view on hill overlooking the beach. Found a spot with umbrella and lounger (8 Euros) a few steps from beach bar. Water crustal clear, saw no nudity or topless sun bathers - so if that's a concern, this may be a good beach. Nice pebbled... More

Full disclosure: We went when the winds were coming from the North -- so the south of the island was very very calm. The waters, as the Greeks call it, was like 'olive oil'. Not a wave in the bay. We posted out on the farthest station of the beach past all the families and crowds and water sports. It... More

Paliochori beach has been our favourite beach for many years. Easy accessable (can be reached by bus), lots of parking spaces and two beach bars offering beach chairs and sun shades. Pebbly beach and blue water. (make sure to go on a walk and collect some unique stones)

The beach is smooth and beachbar-equipped, there are free sunbeds and washing water, a changing room with adjacent toilet and a few umbrellas. There are also Armirikia trees which provide enough shade to lounge around. When the August north winds blow hard (the Greek Meltemia) it can be wavy and rough, but in low wind, later in the day or... More
