We are a family-owned and operated farm winery, located just north of Richmond VA. A refreshing change from the ordinary! Our staff serves a tasting of wines from whites to delicious reds and dessert wines in a tranquil country setting. Enjoy a picnic on our beautifully landscaped patio or capture the view from the terrace. James Batterson, winemaker, creates all wines from Virginia grown grapes.

Great place

We've enjoyed visiting this winery several times now. They aren't a large place but still a nice one to stop in. We always make a purchase here!

Went out for a special wine and cheese tasting. $10, per person, reasonable. The cheeses were the best part. Some of the wines were not bad, but I probably wouldn't purchase them for home use. I did enjoy a few of the wines, but there are just other things I far prefer. Cute lawn where you can bring a snack... More

Located on a busy road, but is far enough back that it doesn't interfere with your enjoyment. The tasting room is small, but there are table and chairs downstairs and upstairs, on a balcony, and in the garden/patio. The building has a cozy cottage feeling and beautiful wooden floors and stairs. Restrooms downstairs and upstairs, and were clean. Took a... More

We were visiting from out of state and excited to see a winery with music on a Friday night. The venue is very pretty but then it goes downhill from there. We stood in a long line to get in, were given a paper bracelet and told to go back the path. When we got to the back lot, there... More

Bottom line: Over 13 wines made up their tasting which was inexpensive ($5). Cute place and the wines are pretty good! Stopped here after we read about them on Trip Advisor. We found it to be a nice tasting experience. Really enjoyed the Chardonel (and like the history behind this one. Chardonnay + Cornell = Chardonel!). Also liked the Meritage.... More

Friday nights on the patio is great. $10 for drinkers, $5 for non drinkers. You get your glass and taste the 7/8 wines they have out that night. It all takes place at the back of the property that has a picnic lawn and an undercover tent should you need cover or not have your chairs. There is usually a... More

Great wine, interesting location, this is the first wine I ever visited in my life. I first came here in May 2007 when I used to live in Richmond. Glad they still have music every Friday.

One of my favorite wineries in Richmond! The actual grounds of the winery is quite lovely, it just so happens to be located right beside a driving range... which was a little unexpected on our first visit. Tasting price is extremely reasonable and the wines are award winning. Make sure to sample the Chambourcin...and then try it warmed! Incredible. Also,... More

We stopped by one afternoon just to see what local wineries were like in VA. This is a very picturesque winery and tasting room just off US1 on the north side of Richmond. They have 14 or 15 wines you can taste, and several were outstanding. in our tastes spectrum, if we buy a case, it is an excellent to... More
