This museum was a hidden gem in downtown Lynchburg. It was small but packed with Lynchburg history. It's definitely worth a visit! Also, it is free!

Great place to learn about local history & historic figures from the area. Call prior to your visit to make sure of their hours . Plus ask what is being displayed as they change things around .

I came to the museum to do some research on my family history and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The museum is small but the displays are professionally curated and interesting. It’s also free, so go check it out!

Was leaving Lynchburg and wanted to take a run downtown........stopped in here.......and found it an excellent small museum based naturally on Lynchburg history. Exhibits were perfectly laid out.......I respected what I did see.......but did not have that much time. Would recommend.........donations only required.

I was pleasantly surprised by the history of the city on dispay at this museum. Artifacts are nicely displayed and quite educational. I will definitely return here.

Good Morning! The Museum's GPS address is 901 Court Street with free on street parking for up to 2 hours. Clay Street Parking deck is behind the Museum with address of 808 Clay Street. The middle level is open to the public... More
