Just the walk around this area, full of history. Beautiful setting. Not for older individuals with any limitations.

We parked on the uphill end of this street, walked down stopping by all of the monuments, then back up the stairs. There are monuments to the local veterans of all the different wars on each level of the hill. This is also a great...More

Went here when we went to the Lynchburg museum. Several beautiful monuments here to see, and perhaps the veterans will be gathering to honor the fallen when you are there. Lots of steps if you don't mind the exercise. Beautiful!

The steps can't be beat for a good workout and the war memorials give one a chance to reflect on the sacrifice many made for our country.

The steps go up, up, up, up....... Loved the way each landing honored a different war and the veterans of that war. Chuch midway up is beautiful.

This is a nice monument to honor Lynchburg veterans of various wars. There are many steps to climb between the monuments.

Certainly unexpected to find this historic and architecturally-interesting street in Lynchburg atop a dramatic stairway. Many Victorian and ante-bellum houses, some belonging to famous persons, and 19th century stone churches on every other block.

Great for history buffs and those interested in the civil war era. My family enjoyed the visit. It would be nice to have a guide though.
