A great experience for someone who is new to crystals and rocks and wants to learn some basic info. Like my title indicates you won't be digging in a rock mine. The method they use is called flume mining where you sit and sift through...More

This was so much fun. You have to buy a bucket and not dig for the gems but they have a great set up and each bucket has lots of rocks for the kids to sift and find.

Took my kids years ago when they first opened and enjoyed it. Then took my niece this tear and she had a blast finding and sifting through the dirt. Makes for a fun activity for kids of all ages!

This gem mine is a wonderful field trip for elementary age kids. The staff was knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and they seemed to really enjoy what the do. I will definitely be back!!

Have been to Lucky Lake Gem Mine several times. Good family fun!! You buy buckets of several prices and sizes. Bigger the bucket, more money, but the buckets are seeded with certain number of gems. We always get the $100 bucket. Guaranteed 2-3 large gems...More
