The mausoleum complex is nice and clean. The exhibits had quite a bit of information in English, which was appreciated. It is important to note, however, that Genghis Khan's remains are not located here - their location is unknown. And many of the items and...More

If you find yourself in Baotou, this is a must-see. Ornate and impressive; lots of interesting historical context. The exhibit detailing Ghengis Khan's "punitive expeditions" is pretty interesting.

Although a couple of hours out of Baotou it is well worth making the effort to visit. It is outstanding with a highlight being the Mongolian Horsemen providing demonstrations of their art.

The mausoleum is not in a convenient location travel-wise and it certainly isn't informative or that interesting. If you really happen to be in the area, you might enjoy seeing the buildings and taking some pictures. I would rather spend my time in the desert...More

Interesting memorial site dedicated to Genghiz Khan. If you love trivia or are a history buff, you will love this place. Lots of statues and exhibits, but nothing interactive. Colourful with great photo opportunities.
