Queens fort at Maheswar and the temples within the fort are the best piece of architecture of Holkar dynasty even surpassing the Holkar monuments at Indore. The Ghat near the fort adds beauty to the whole place. Worth a visit.

Ahalyabai Fort on the banks of Narmada is a small yet beautiful place. It houses some astounding temples, and Ahalyabai's residence and workplace. It also has one of many 'factories' of handmade famous Maheshwari sarees.
