One can visit this place by Hiring a Cab from Haridwar /Rishikesh from Haridwar it will take approximately 3 Hrs. The Road is senic but hilly & not so good. During rainy season landslides are common. But once you reach the Temple all your tiredness will vanish. The place is on the Mountain & very very scenic.

The famous Neelkanth temple where Lord Shiva drank the poison during the churning of the ocean and Shiva is represented here in the form of Ling. The road leading to temple which is at a height is not at all good. The administration must look into this.

Me with my parents visited there thrice times. A crowdy place . Not easy to reach by walks. But hopeful people's stands in rows and one by one step we becomes closer to the temple. The main attraction of the temple is the " samudra manthan" times "Kaalkoot Vish" that was drunken by Lord Shiva, then their neck turns in... More

This is the main Shiva temple to see near Rishikesh. A little difficult when going on a Monday because that is the day to pray to Shiva. There were so many devotees but the experience was wonderful.

When we decided to visit Neelkanth we took a bike on rent and started off. Temple is on top off the mountain and it takes around an hour to reach. Roads are narrow and broken so it was little difficult to drive. Temple area is good and I feel this trip is a worth remembering one.
