the malecon in granada has seen better days and is lacking in new development. it is pretty and scenic and you can tell that it was beautiful at one time. With a little effort and a relocation of some of the tourist services, this could...More

This is quite a walk from the centre and it is very debateable whether it is worth the walk. Certainly during weekdays, the area is largely deserted apart from groups of youths loitering around and incessant questioning from boat owners trying to persuade you to...More

We spent four days at the Malecon location, and walked many times a day on the Malecon. While the lake and the view are lovely, the garbage everywhere is most disturbing. Both side of the road is full ovf all kind of garbage. Near the...More

After walking from uptown Granada all the way down the street to the lake, the malecon is a nice place to stop at the wall and just enjoy the breeze coming off the lake. Not much to do really, but the view is nice.

Granada's malecon is a pleasant walk away from the busy center. Often there is a breeze. Though there are high palm trees there is not a lot of shade, so bring an umbrella or some protection against the unrelenting sun. The view over the lake...More

A lovely way to view the Malecon is via one of the many horse drawn carriages that you can rent in the town. One hour should cost no more than $20USD and you can get them to take you all along the Malecon. Very cool...More

A great effort has been done by the Municipality of Granada to embellish the area. Nice landscaping, wide sidewalk, even if irrebular (watch your step)

This is where all the bars and restaurants are that locals go too. There are tons of playgrounds as well, it is a generally sketchy area however. It's not incredibly beautiful and don't go there unless you really wanna drink and party with locals. Don't...More

This is a place locals visit during holiday season. There are changing stalls, restaurants, picnic tables - all ready for a crowd. There was no one there apart from homeless appearing folk.
