Friends took us o this old village,and I would say it's a nice place to go. We had a coffee in one of the bars and it was quite cheap, suppose out of season. It quite small so you can walk round it in half an hour, but still worth a trip O ya, if your going to Puy Mary... More

Very helpful lady who advised us on hikes in the Puy Violent and Puy Mary areas,gave out free maps and made us feel very welcome

It is a very nice small city and you have just to walk aroud and read a little bit about the history of the city. Beautiful old houses and from the top of the city you have a nice view of the valley.

In central Salers,it represents the best of French manners and diligence in driving requests to best outcomes. We ambled into the office with negligible knowledge of the village except that i read somewhere that this enclave has no buildings that date before the 15th-century or after the 16th-century. Positioned in the centre of Salers in a very attractive historic building the staff are extremely helpful and spoke English when my basic French was failing!
