Great private ski offering for young children

Millie was a superb instructor for our beginner six-year-old daughter. She was a natural with her, and after just three mornings, our daughter was skiing confidently and having fun. Marmalade have a very flexible approach, and we loved that Millie could pick up from our chalet or meet us on the mountain. She also sorted out a problem with our ski pass on day 2 with no fuss. She was a lovely instructor and we couldn't believe how our daughter progressed in such a short time. Connie in the office was also very good, quick to respond and it was easy to book. Price-wise, Marmalade are about the average for private instruction in Meribel. It's more than group lessons for children but well worth it because my daughter got the hang so quickly. They also specialise in giving a tailored service eg picking up from the chalet and flexing on start time if you heed to organise ski hire first thing.

Four great mornings

I have had a great experience with Marmalade instructors over several years and this year (with Quentin) was no exception. I felt he really wanted to make sure I was getting things right (most of the time!) before progressing to steeper slopes. As a result I really gained confidence and had a fantastic four mornings overall.

Epic two weeks

The most amazing experience with Del from Marmalade. We booked 9 days and split them between my husband and I (very average skiers) and our adult children (experienced skiers). Del was insane - we had two weeks of very little snow - but he knew where to find the best of what their was and gave the good skiers epic off piste adventures. He was very flexible each day whoever turned up at 9.15am would be whisked away on a 4 hour tour. One day we cancelled a morning and added it onto another day so the kids to go further off piste - all in all a phenominal experience. HIs level of knowledge and expertise was exceptional but just as importantly he was a lovely guy to chat to and spend time with. Would definitely book again.

Epic week! We had Greg (legend) every morning for 3 teenagers and their dodgy-knee'd mother. He was fun, flexible and of course an excellent teacher for both skiing and snowboarding. Couldn't recommend more highly - the kids improved massively and loved every minute. Thanks Marmalade (especially Greg) - we'll be back!

Rupert excellent ski teacher for kids

Rupert was amazing with our 3 x kids. My 6 year old daughter said after the trip that Rupert made everything easy, and that he made the adventure bigger every day!! My 9 year old son said he loves skiing! Bear in mind our kids had never been on a ski slope before so they went from zero to snowploughing down Green runs unaided on day 3 😊 and this is all attributed to Rupert’s style of teaching. Rupert just made it enjoyable from start to finish, will always be grateful for his positive start to our little ones discovery into skiing 😊

Amazing Off-Piste Day

Myself and a friend had a full day off-piste experience in Meribel and it was a truly excellent day,

From the get go, the communication was really clear. They answered all our questions in good time and we got everything sorted nice and easy.

I'm a skier with some off-piste experience, whilst my friend is a boarder with lots of experience. Greg, our guide for the day, was amazing, managing to tailor a day that delivered for both of us. Greg was on skis and gave me lots of invaluable advice which really helped my skiing; but he is also a boarder so was able to give my friend some tips and found areas that were kind for me, but still offered thrills for my friend.

He took us on some really great runs that we wouldn't have been able to do otherwise.
It was all really fun and felt safe and in good hands at all times.

Would highly recommend for a bit of a different day.

The School to choose!

This is the best ski School we have used in Meribel. The customer service is second to none. They replied quickly and were so helpful answering any question we asked. Our instructor Jojo was British and this made a huge difference to our children, not having a language barrier. They described her as “amazing, she was friendly easy to talk to and broke the instructions down one by one”. They thoroughly enjoyed their lesson and when it ended they felt like they’d accomplished so much and were really happy.

Excellent beginners ski lessons!

Would highly recommend Marmalade Ski School! The admin team were very helpful and friendly, our instructor Quentin was excellent, very friendly, informative and knowledgeable! Our lessons were great fun and massively increased our confidence alongside ski technique. Thanks to Marmalade and Quentin we had a great week of skiing and can’t wait to go back! :)

The best in Méribel

Incredibly helpful when I called and understood exactly what I wanted to learn in order to improve my skiing. Each time I’ve booked with them the instructors have been fantastic. They’re all brilliant! V professional as well as great fun. Improved my skiing enormously and made it all such a joy. I would recommend them first every time.

Great Family Ski Lesson

We booked a 4 hour lesson as a family of 5.

The day we booked turned out to be rainy/windy/snowy with poor visibility and sticky snow - so many challenging conditions. Our instructor Martina was great. She was positive throughout and gave us all individual tips on what to work on. Martina kept everyone’s interest up and we really enjoyed the lesson.

The office staff who we dealt with to book the lesson were friendly and efficient.
