About
We're Meribel's first snowboard school specialising solely in snowboarding. We provide lessons for all ability levels, from complete beginners to advanced riders, so whether you're looking to take your first steps, improve your piste riding or be guided off-piste, we're here to help. Our friendly team of instructors are all skilful and hugely experienced riders, with some currently competing in freeride competitions,who love to share their knowledge with other snowboarders. With 16 years in Meribel and Courchevel we're well known for providing the best snowboard instruction in resort, just ask around and you'll see what we mean!

As a 44yr old beginner with one previous experience a year earlier where I fell and severely injured my back, I understood that I needed professional help if I am to take up snowboarding. I explained my previous experience and fears to my Instructor Paul. He took this on board and tailored the lessons to my needs, explaining everything clearly, telling me what to expect and how the board should react to my various inputs. Due to this, after two 3-hour lessons, I was able to confidently side-slip, feather and undertake turns on a green slope. 6-days later and I went down a Blue slope. Whenever it doesn't go as I expected, I am able to recall Paul's clear and concise instructions and I reset and go again. Very very highly recommended.

Our 16 yr old daughter wanted to start snow boarding this year and having had pervious positive experience of using CAB9 for another child, albeit some years ago, I emailed and manage to book 2 lessons. Communication was easy and efficient. Lessons were brilliant and Jono was patient, kind and fun. It may be an expense, but honestly, it is cost effective as the tuition is soooo good. Thank you, we now have another proficient snow boarder in the family.

Had a great 3 hr lesson with Jono who very quickly picked up all my bad habits and started correcting them. The rest of my week was faster, smoother, and required less effort. Would recommend whether you're just starting out or a seasoned boarder... there's always room for improvement.

We had a week in Vals Thorens and had Marco as our instructor, we went for private lessons that me and my other half shared (he did three and I had one lesson with Marco). Marco was amazing, very patient, supportive and had great knowledge. My partner was a complete beginner and came along so well thanks to the lessons. Booking was easy and Helen was really helpful in getting us the right deal / options for us! Thank you!

Marco is a brilliant instructor and helped me to progress in the areas I wanted to focus on. As I was the only person on the lesson, the 2x 2.5hr sessions were rolled into a single personalised 2.5hr session, which was fine by me as Marco helped me to progress very quickly and build my confidence on boxes, jumps and different features. Time wasn’t an issue and the lesson pushed 3hrs as the visibility dipped half way through and he wanted me to get the most out of my lesson. Everything was fun and easy to understand and Marco pushes you to maximise your ability without putting you out of your comfort zone. On my last day in the resort we had an amazing dump of snow, Marco invited me out to explore the area and cruise the powder, definitely one of the best days I’ve ever had on the mountain!

I booked a 2 hour private lesson in Val Thorens, and was assigned Dougal as my instructor. After a decade or so of boarding I had picked up a litany of bad habits. Within 30 minutes my technique had been sorted out, and I was back to enjoying my boarding. Worth every penny, as for the rest of the holiday I boarded the best I have for years and enjoyed myself even more. My friends noticed the immediate improvement after the lesson. Highly recommended, i would certainly use them again!

Helen was very helpful when helping book and organise the lessons for my 11 and 7 Year olds. Andrea was brilliant as an instructor and both kids were brought on massively during the holiday. Would definitely use them again.

Super helpful staff both over the phone and on the mountain, everything went perfectly to plan and I had the most amazing week - Both instructors I had were super helpful and my confidence in snowboarding by the end of the trip would not have been the same without them!!! Thank you guys :)

The lesson booking was very quick and easy. Thanks a lot to Andrea, we rode for fun, he helped me to correct a few techniques and taught me some new tricks. Training with Andrea was clear and simple, but very productive. It was a great time.
