The Port faces West so fantastic for sunsets. A busy place, super bars and restaurants and interesting maritime comings and goings

This tiny, tiny church is located on an island right in the port. There is no access to the place unless you have a boat or wanna swim to it, even then I seriously doubt it would be worth it, the place is big enough for maybe 10-20 people and very plain looking. makes for a good scale indicator when looking out towards the bay.

Right by the port area, we stopped to take a couple of photos. Wished i could have got the view from above to show it's on an island. It was difficult to get a good photo at ground level.

At the port in Chora. Is easy to miss since parked cars along the jetty might obstruct the view. Besides the church faces out to sea and unless you want to swim the short distance from the marina to the chapel, can only be viewed at a distance. Many boats moored around the place.

Whilst staying in Naxos Town there is so much you can Miss simply by not paying attention. Panagia is a classic example. If you wander down to or from the Port - and unless you arrive or leave by Air you certainly will - the Old Church although big enough is easy to Miss. keep an eye out for the Old Girl standing proud on her own piece of Naxos surrounded by Water. Yet another piece of History on your Naxos Doorstep.
