About
The Poseidon Thermal Gardens, unique in the world, are situated on the island of Ischia (in the Gulf of Naples) in the beautiful bay of Citara, and know in ancient roman times for their hot waters. A complex of 20 pools with different temperature from 28 to 40 degrees and filled with hot underground thermal water. The hot springs are of volcanic origin and are particularly indicated for orthopedic ailments and breathing problems. They have also a regenerating effect on the skin against stress and aging. In the medical and beauty Center there is a team of professional that take care of your needs using advance medical and beauty treatments. Poseidon sits in an ecological environment where relax and rest are in synergy with the sea, the sun and the thermal waters. The park is open from Easter to October 31st.

- Dana DAtlanta, Georgia11 contributionsParadiseClean, breathtaking, and so many saltwater spas! It's like a beautiful retreat for body and soul. Landscaping is lovely, the pools are immaculate, and the views from each are truly incredible. We opted for spa services as well - ask for the massage before the facial - else the facial looks ...wonky .. afterwards. ;) The food in the dining area is healthier and very tasty. There is also a sauna in a cave - not to be missed. If we lived here ... it'd be a weekly must.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 June 2023

Must bring shower hat or shower cap to cover hair. Some people with mobility issues may struggle with all the different steps to go from one area to another.Visited June 2023Written 26 June 2023
- miglenakkk1 contributionAmazing experienceWe have been visiting every year but I can say this year they have only improved for the better. The pools are immaculately clean, water is nice, temperatures pleasant, all is nice The automated locking system is a nice new feature making it easier to go back anytime you forgot something ... Food and coffee was fresh and delicious. The multiday pass discounts were a great dealVisited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 July 2023
- DiancikZurich, Switzerland90 contributionsRegenerating experience surrounded by the surreal beauty of nature,Poseidon is a must when you are in Ischia. With 20 thermal pools, a garden which is trimmed to perfection, breathtaking views and a beach to relax, this is the place to be to make your stay on the island unforgettable. And to make you want to come back for more. Go early and grab a place on the beach, as these get booked fast and the beach can get crowded in the afternoon. Follow the directions for the thermal pools and do ask the staff about the benefits, history and tips. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant - only fresh produce and a great selection of meals. Sustainable and plastic free, which makes it wven better!Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 July 2023
- Sara H5 contributionsTake time to relax - it's worth it hereScenic half hour drive from Ischia Porto arrived at a peaceful, no children screaming, calm oasis of relaxation. Easy to navigate with not too many steps up to higher pools. Plenty of sunbeds and shade. Restaurant good prices albeit small selection of food. Lovely private beach with lifeguard. All must wear swim hat (can buy from on site shop next to restarant and lockers for Euro 2.50) but this can be your own cap, bandana etc. Half day suited us and felt fair price. Enjoy relaxing - definitely recommendVisited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 July 2023
- E6366VVmarioToronto, Canada1 contributionIt’s Paradise! What a beautiful place and such a relaxing experience. Amazing! I will be back several times. Came with our family and friends - group of 9 with 4 adults and 5 kids (pre-teens and teens). We loved the beach, thermal baths, restaurants and bar. I can’t say enough good things. We come to Ischia often and this was our first time at Poseidon and we were impressed. Came back the very next day. Just wonderful! Thank you!Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 July 2023

- StDoinaBucharest, Romania1 contributionRelaxationNice location. Natural thermal Park with over 20 pools. The children area is too small, my son of 9, had practically one pool to swim, the other 2 were for younger children. Beautiful beach, good food at the restaurant and cafeteria.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 September 2023
- kerrywise1955Casuarina, Australia1 contributionFabulous day !Poseidon Thermal park has been on my bucket list forever as well as Ischia. Now I have finally completed my bucket list and have enjoyed the pleasure of immersing myself in the health springs. Poseidon comes highly recommended by many people, male and female. This second visit I am including a facial therapy, the line correction, which I am really excited about! Also I have noted some simple tips from your brochure from 1 to 9 which I will be doing. I have been experiencing knee pain of late and hope the thermal waters may give me some pain relief including some long lasting benefitsVisited August 2023Written 17 September 2023
- 23RUNNottingham, United Kingdom514 contributionsLovely relaxing dayThoroughly enjoyed our day here, even though the weather was a bit cloudy, there is much to entertain with the different pools and water experiences. I particularly enjoyed the hot-cold pool and the chair where you are pummelled by hot water, very good for aches and pains and circulation. The gardens are very attractive and clean and pleasant. There are good changing facilities and lockers big enough for hand luggage, included in the entry. The cafe serves a very decent lunch at reasonable price and the indoor pool would be great as the weather gets cooler. You have to wear a bathing cap in the pools. What made it very good for us was that it was easily accessible by bus from Forio where we were staying.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 September 2023

These thermal pools are set into the rocks of the thermal mountainside surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a Turkish bath set in the rocks and around 20 pools. A must visit destination. Good value at end of October at 35 euros in last week of month

great day! but if charging full price then i expect everything to be available not closed.
The spa pools were amazing we really enjoyed our time here we arrived 1pm until 6 pm our only fault was that the main restaurant was open but all other amenities were closed which let it down.
Place is immaculate, all pools fab and a great relaxing day! would recommend but maybe haggle at entry in october cos we wish we had.

We could not fault our day. We went straight to the Wellness centre and booked some treatments then had a quick wander around before heading back there. My friend and i both had a face and body mud treatment followed by a massage. We both said it was one of the best treatments we have ever had. The rest of the day was fabulous going from pool to pool. We actually could have done with a few more hours and we were there from 11-6! Also saw an incredible sunset as we were leaving too.
Thanks Poseidon for the best day of our holiday. I will be recommending a trip here to everyone.

I want to reserve a spot for my husband and I in August. What is the difference between the Beach Area, Lower Thermal Area, High Thermal Area, Olympia Pool? We definitely want to use the thermal pools, beach, and other pool, as well as enjoying lunch there. We will be there all day.

It is all in the same premises you can move around freely as you choose. Last time we had to show our entry receipt to gain access to the beach area not sure if they still require this but just in case ! Make sure to take a swimming cap or buy one there.

Hi - I don’t quite understand the logistics of getting into the park. We’re a family of 4, both children under 12yrs of age with the aim of visiting the park for the day in August. Do we need to reserve a beach umbrella with sun loungers? Or can we pay entrance fee plus beach spot on the day? Thanks

I would suggest doing a different activity or checking out a different thermal spa, kids of that age are only allowed in 3 pools, the rest of the pools and saunas are adult only. If you have already decided you want to sit at the beach, reserve early not the day of (you risk not getting a spot at all). If you do go bring a hat/headscarf/showercap for all of you. It’s mandatory when using the pools and saunas.

Hi, do you have to be able to swim to enjoy the Poseidon Thermal Gardens or can you simply sit in the pools, I imagine the pools being like jacuzzi/ hot tubs?
