About
The Poseidon Thermal Gardens, unique in the world, are situated on the island of Ischia (in the Gulf of Naples) in the beautiful bay of Citara, and know in ancient roman times for their hot waters. A complex of 20 pools with different temperature from 28 to 40 degrees and filled with hot underground thermal water. The hot springs are of volcanic origin and are particularly indicated for orthopedic ailments and breathing problems. They have also a regenerating effect on the skin against stress and aging. In the medical and beauty Center there is a team of professional that take care of your needs using advance medical and beauty treatments. Poseidon sits in an ecological environment where relax and rest are in synergy with the sea, the sun and the thermal waters. The park is open from Easter to October 31st.

Regenerating experience surrounded by the surreal beauty of nature,
Poseidon is a must when you are in Ischia. With 20 thermal pools, a garden which is trimmed to perfection, breathtaking views and a beach to relax, this is the place to be to make your stay on the island unforgettable. And to make you want to come back for more. Go early and grab a place on the beach, as these get booked fast and the beach can get crowded in the afternoon. Follow the directions for the thermal pools and do ask the staff about the benefits, history and tips. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant - only fresh produce and a great selection of meals. Sustainable and plastic free, which makes it wven better!

Take time to relax - it's worth it here
Scenic half hour drive from Ischia Porto arrived at a peaceful, no children screaming, calm oasis of relaxation. Easy to navigate with not too many steps up to higher pools. Plenty of sunbeds and shade. Restaurant good prices albeit small selection of food. Lovely private beach with lifeguard. All must wear swim hat (can buy from on site shop next to restarant and lockers for Euro 2.50) but this can be your own cap, bandana etc. Half day suited us and felt fair price. Enjoy relaxing - definitely recommend

    It’s Paradise!
What a beautiful place and such a relaxing experience. Amazing! I will be back several times. Came with our family and friends - group of 9 with 4 adults and 5 kids (pre-teens and teens). We loved the beach, thermal baths, restaurants and bar. I can’t say enough good things. We come to Ischia often and this was our first time at Poseidon and we were impressed. Came back the very next day. Just wonderful! Thank you!

    Relaxation
Nice location. Natural thermal Park with over 20 pools. The children area is too small, my son of 9, had practically one pool to swim, the other 2 were for younger children. Beautiful beach, good food at the restaurant and cafeteria.

    Fabulous day !
Poseidon Thermal park has been on my bucket list forever as well as Ischia. Now I have finally completed my bucket list and have enjoyed the pleasure of immersing myself in the health springs. Poseidon comes highly recommended by many people, male and female. This second visit I am including a facial therapy, the line correction, which I am really excited about! Also I have noted some simple tips from your brochure from 1 to 9 which I will be doing. I have been experiencing knee pain of late and hope the thermal waters may give me some pain relief including some long lasting benefits

    Lovely relaxing day
Thoroughly enjoyed our day here, even though the weather was a bit cloudy, there is much to entertain with the different pools and water experiences. I particularly enjoyed the hot-cold pool and the chair where you are pummelled by hot water, very good for aches and pains and circulation. The gardens are very attractive and clean and pleasant. There are good changing facilities and lockers big enough for hand luggage, included in the entry. The cafe serves a very decent lunch at reasonable price and the indoor pool would be great as the weather gets cooler. You have to wear a bathing cap in the pools. What made it very good for us was that it was easily accessible by bus from Forio where we were staying.

    Fabulous day at Poseidon
We could not fault our day. We went straight to the Wellness centre and booked some treatments then had a quick wander around before heading back there. My friend and i both had a face and body mud treatment followed by a massage. We both said it was one of the best treatments we have ever had. The rest of the day was fabulous going from pool to pool. We actually could have done with a few more hours and we were there from 11-6! Also saw an incredible sunset as we were leaving too. Thanks Poseidon for the best day of our holiday. I will be recommending a trip here to everyone.

October visit_ Great but no bars open except main
great day! but if charging full price then i expect everything to be available not closed. The spa pools were amazing we really enjoyed our time here we arrived 1pm until 6 pm our only fault was that the main restaurant was open but all other amenities were closed which let it down. Place is immaculate, all pools fab and a great relaxing day! would recommend but maybe haggle at entry in october cos we wish we had.

    A must see
These thermal pools are set into the rocks of the thermal mountainside surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a Turkish bath set in the rocks and around 20 pools. A must visit destination. Good value at end of October at 35 euros in last week of month

Lovely place but should be advertised as adults only as absolutely terrible for children under 12.

Children can only access a couple of seawater pools (not as nice as hotel pool) which stung their skin. Adults pay full price but impossible to use any of the facilities or thermal pools because children aren’t allowed in the area and obviously you need to be able to supervise your children. Indoor pool was very stuffy and not a single chair available (cloudy day so probably busier than normal). After an hour of realising this was a bad choice - we left. Luckily we were able to get a refund as the water had made our 8yr olds skin very sore and she was crying.

And be ready to buy and wear £2.50 swim hats all day!

Great day out. Plenty of pools. We had considered visiting another thermal pools resort but had been put off after the reviews. This one was great value for money, plenty of pools, and plenty of beds if you just want to chill out. I’d definitely recommend a visit. My only negative is that it’s €1 each time you close the locker so make sure you have change with you, and also try to make sure you remember everything. I forgot my swimming hat (note you do need these for all pools!!) meaning I had to find another 1 euro coin for my stuff to be safe. All in all enough, a really good day!

Oh, I wish we had these in the U.K.! Just so much fun - like Iceland's Blue Lagoon, but without the stink! If you are in Ischia for a few days, don't miss out. It's not cheap, so you need a good few hours to chill. Beautiful surroundings, gorgeous flowers and comfortable loungers. So quiet and peaceful as children aren't allowed in. BRING A BATHING HAT or you have to buy an exquisite specimen from the "boutique". Apparently really packed in summer months, but May 1 was absolutely gorgeous - warm and very few people even for a Sunday.

It was fun. Highlight was the food abd the hot/cold spa. Be careful about the dodgy taxi drivers at the port. The resort should consider running shuttles for a small fee back and forth. The local buses take too long and the taxi drivers are untrustworthy.

Omg! If you are planning to visit Ischia, this place is definitely a must! A day surrounded by nature, water and kissed by the sun at the Poseidon terme is simply a perfect day.
The £40 spent for entry are totally worthy..
you can enjoy the feeling given by the different temperatures pools (40 degrees for 3 minutes and 15 degrees for 15 seconds…x 3 times), the waterfalls that give you massage to your neck, the Olympic swimming pool, the sea, the sun beds! A perfect place where to relax completely and switch off.
Even the restaurant offers great option for a light lunch!
Absolutely recommended!

What a great day! 38 euro might seem steep to get in but not when you can spend 10 hours there. You have access to the many pools and a private beach. It was worth every cent and we totally enjoyed our day.

The property is well kept and really pretty with all the plants. Everything was very clean.

Prices in the cafe were reasonable. Only 2.50 for cappuccino so they weren't trying to take advantage of you.

You do need a bathing cap for the pools but they sell them for $2.50.

We also went for a hot stone massage which of course costs extra but was lovely and relaxing.

We enjoyed our day and would highly recommend.

This is a good day out. We set out on a rainy morning and it was the perfect choice with four inside pools in a covered greenhouse-lots of chairs. Once it had dried up the parks' gardens were wonderfully fragrant and the whole place was uncrowded and spacious. At the end of the day we spent some time on the beach. In August 2022 the price was €90 for a couple. You need a shower cap or hat to cover your hair. It's a very different atmosphere to Negombo, less swanky with better vistas and more swimming pool like (less like an onsen). Lots of the pools were very hot, obviously that depends on the springs. The range of larger pools was appreciated.
