Unique neighborhood. Just don´t forget your camera.
Unique. You won´t find another place like this anywhere. Those trulli houses are all over Puglia but this concentration of these peculiar houses was a real surprise. Just being there was almost overwhelming. I recommend being there before most of the tourists arrive (May is fine).

    Another world
If you don’t go anywhere else in Puglia, try not to miss this. We have wanted to visit this place for several years, and we weren’t disappointed. Learning all about the houses, and having the opportunity to enter one of the 1400 trulli houses was amazing. It was a warm day, but the interior was cool, and much more spacious than we expected. Sadly, it rained heavily after we had been there for little over an hour, but we still so happy we had visited. The drive up from the coast is lovely too. Be aware that this area is hilly.

    Trulli Wonderful
We done a coach trip to this beautiful village and it is so picturesque. There are lots lovely houses and streets to wander round and some of the remaining residents let you look inside their homes. It really is a wonderful place to see. There are plenty of gift shops to look around and some nice places to eat or get a drink.

    Well worth a Day Trip
We hired a taxi from Monopoli to the World Heritage site of Alberobello. Monopoli is by the sea and much cooler. Alberobello is much hotter with not a lot of shade.. There are approx 2,500 Trulli houses and pictures do not do it justice. The houses are split into two areas separated by a large square. One side is much busier than the other with numerous tourist type shops (in Trulli houses) and a few bars and restaurants. The other side, which is more interesting is less busy and far less commercial. It was very interesting and we saw all we need to see in a day trip.

    A truly magical place
This place is pure magic. It’s has a ‘straight out of Disneyland or Hobbiton’ feel and is just delightful. Well worth the trip out here to explore. You only need 1-2 hours and there are a range of trulli, the garden, Chiesas and quaint souvenir shops as well as cafes and restaurants. We were very glad we arrived early (9am) because by the time we left around 11am the place (and parking) was packed. Would definitely advise going earlier before all the tourist buses arrive.

Beautiful quaint Trulli Structures of Alberobello
Alberobello is definitely worth a visit in the Apulia region. We were 30 minutes drive away from Torre Canne. I definitely recommend renting or hiring a car to get around the area. There's a lovely museum of a Trulli with a setting reminiscent of the medieval times. Whilst in Puglia we also also visited Locorotondo and Ostuni which have beautiful Trulli structures as well to view on foot. Thank you

Beautiful town to eat and relax
Spent 10 days based in Alberobello and stayed near the main street. Beautiful town although work being done on main street and a side street when we were there so were awoken early Monday-Friday. The town is stunning and well worth visiting but also relaxing at one of the numerous bars or eating at a restaurant. We did venture out to see other villages and towns as well as the coast. One downside, a Dolce and Gabbana fashion show took place on our last night which meant half the town closed for the 'celebrities'.

And now for something completely different…..
Indeed something completely different The whole area has trulli houses scattered everywhere. It seems like every house has one in their garden. But you have to read the history and understand it. I’m not going to go into it. But It’s just incredible. And then you get to alberobello and it’s a whole town !!! You just have to get it all in. Stroll, see, touch, feel. An absolute must.

    Fairytale Town
This is a Fairytale town. Magical. It is probably the most unique UNESCO World Heritage Site we have ever visited. The whitewashed round buildings with their stone roofs make for beautiful photos against the deep blue sky. But it is too bad it has become so touristy, so commercial. Some of it seemed fake, like a theme park. Our impression of the Monti Neighborhood was it was mostly a commercial area. There were so many little shops offering every souvenir, trinket, or token you could think of. Even some of the artisan merchandise was of questionable origin. We were hoping for a look into the past. What we found was open-air shopping center, a bazaar of sorts.

    Quintessential Puglia
If you’re visiting Puglia, visiting the largest collection of Trulli is a must. We went early, and glad we did. It gets very busy, which must be unpleasant. Quaint little alleyways, collection of shops and little places to stay for those who want to be in the middle of things.

Lovely area to walk around. Quite clean with lots of bars and restaurants. Lots of photo opportunities…if you are not photobombed by other tourists!

The small Italian town of Alberobello is a a most of the area. The streets are narrow and hilly, houses are white with pointed roof like a mushroom hat. I choose if season and even they were a lot of people. I can't imagine how it could be during summer. I used a easy morning bus service from Bari.

This charming town is know for its "trulli," the conical-roofed and dry-stone dwellings that earned it UNESCO World Heritage Site status. These buildings were constructed out of limestone without cement and date back as far as the mid-14th century. They remain very well preserved and are still "lived in." While strolling Alberobello's narrow streets, we met up with an owner of one of these homes who was tending his mini-flower garden. He asked if we would like to see the inside of his home which consisted of four connected trulli. We responded in a strong affirmative. He was proud to show off his "pride and joy." The walls were thick and the rooms small with minimal windows; but, his home was very livable and we were happy for the privilege of being able to tour his abode. We invited him out for an aperitif and all celebrated with an Aperol Spritz. What a wonderful way to end the day.

Wonderful. Excellent value for money but food delicious and service efficient and friendly. Head waiter Cosimo was exceptional both in terms of his knowledge and love of food and wine he was serving. He even remembered my hat when I left it behind. If you are in Slberobello could not recommend this highly enough

We were happy that we chose to stay overnight in an authentic trullo so that we could take photos early morning and after the day trippers left late in the afternoon. We stayed in the more residential area that is less touristy. One day was enough for us as there really is not that much to do but it is worthwhile visiting just to see thousands of the Trulli houses!

Absolutely beautiful and a must see. I would recommend visiting it either early in the morning if going in summer or going in other seasons as it probably gets quite hot in the summer but still a must see

The place is very special and indeed worth seeing. However i wouldn't plan more than 1 hour to visit it as the center is not very large and there isn't much else to do besides wandering on the streets

The historic centre of Alberobello is stunning. There are many, many trulli to enjoy staying in, or just visiting (for shopping or dining) and it is very walkable. This place should be on your bucket list when in Italy

Stepping into the 15th century and seeing the Trullie houses, truely breathtaking. Every turn brought about new surprises. It really does deserve its UNESCO World Heritage designation.
