While this museum is small, it has outstanding exhibits. There are two floors of glass exhibits, pre-Columbian artifacts, sculptures, paintings, and other art. Great place to visit if you are looking for a half-day activity. Very generous of the museum to not charge admission fee. The small cafe provides a nice break for a light meal or hot/cold drink, and... More

Check out premium works of art and a really significant collection of art. Families can also benefit from Family Days. One of Coastal Virginia's signature experiences.

The glass exhibit is very interesting even if you are not very knowledgeable about glass artwork. The docent led tour is free and very informative.

If you are local, or plan to visit Norfolk, you have got to spend the day here. The exhibits are endless, the staff is courteous and friendly, and the glass studio is phenomenal. Every form and style of art resides here, and detailed information is given about each piece. I've visited galleries in New York, as well as Atlanta, and... More

Everyone (9-15&adult) loved it! We visited the glass demo first and that was a huge help in understanding the work involved in making such beauty. As there were 12 of us we barely got seats 10 min before the demo. By the start, there were over 15 standing.

Just a great place to learn and experience life through art. You can wander as much you like and not be agravated unless you want to ask questions. Great place.

Since this charming museum is in my home town, I've had the pleasure of visiting and perusing outstanding "objets d'art" since childhood and have now introduced my grandson to its treasures. My favorite exhibit is the Tiffany glass collection, but there's something for everyone, from primitive to modern. The Chrysler houses an excellent restaurant, as well, and serves as an... More

This museum has different types of art and we enjoyed spending a couple of hours walking through the exhibits. Admission is free which is an added plus. We've been here on three separate visits (few years apart) and we don't tire as there are new exhibits.
