Outstanding. What a jewel! Near Norfolk Intl Airport. Large expansive gardens with clearly defined areas. Easy walking trails and lots of color - even in the late summer. Tram tours and boat tours (little extra charge for that). Kids will love running up the hill between the entrance and the airport to watch planes take off and land. Tram driver... More

As a frequent visitor, I've experienced that there is always something to see in each season. The roses in May are a highlight for me. There is a tram to ride in, a sand lot for kids, and a separate garden for kids with water play activities. There is also a great holiday light display at Christmas.

We recently joined the botanical garden and have found it to be well worth the price of membership. The gardens are well kept and there is always something new to see or an event to attend. Our daughter loves the butterfly house and the children's area and we all enjoy having a picnic in the rose garden.

This place is amazing. They have a tram that goes around the whole gardens and it stops several different times to pick up passengers and drop of passengers. There is so much to see and experience. The many different gardens are remarkable. I have been several times regardless of what time of year you go their is always something in... More

The heat was rough but it couldn't prevent us from enjoying the beauty of this garden. The tram tour was excellent, and the boat tour was a discovery of a variety of wild birds including an eagle. Our biggest mistake was not allowing sufficient time to fully appreciate this treasure. Allow at least a full afternoon if not an entire... More

We go here all the time. We always take family and friends there when they are in town. There is always new when we go, and we go about 20 times a year. Children love the WOW garden and playing in the water.

I have a degree in landscape horticulture so we like to visit botanical gardens wherever we go and I think this one is my new favorite! I am a pretty tough critic but this place blew my socks off. The landscaping was impeccable and the childrens garden was fabulous. It's going to take us several trips back here to see... More

MY wife and I visited this garden when in Norfolk. A very nice large garden. With many walking paths. They have a tram that is included with admission that you can get on and off. They also have a very nice bat ride. A very nice children's garden and a butterfly garden. Food is available. Free parking. Bring your walking... More

Today we tried the new restaurant in the food venue at The Gardens for lunch. Dear Dandelions is a fabulous jump from he tacky deli sandwiches and rotisserie hot dogs, sodas, and fudge sickles that used to be served. I had a chicken salad with pecans, roasted tomato and dandelion pesto wrap. My partner ordered the kale salad with added... More
