There is a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the tourist Cais de Ribeira and the Ribeira Square on the opposite side of the river. Here at the foot of the cable car and beyond are the port lodges, the marina and just...More

Really recommend a river trip up the Douro while you are here. Fabulous scenery from the boat along both banks of the river and its beautiful houses and vineyards. we sat in on of the bars in the marina and enjoyed watching the world go...More

This part of Gaia, which used to be Porto's poor cousin, used to be a bit run-down with little reason to attract visitors other than the wine cellars located here. These still exist of course but now along the river is a completely modernized walkway...More

Friendly efficient and staff that go out of there way to make us welcome. Great for Cats as pricing very competitive. To be recommended without hesitation. And bread delivered in the morning....a great unexpected touch.

We kept our boat here for 5 days. The marina staff is excellent, they even deliver fresh bread to your boat every morning. It's a great walking area as well even if you don't come by boat.

One not to miss - the local fish specialties landed by traditional fishing boats and available to buy as you wander through the marina. So many types of fish - you can't go wrong!

Not a particularly nice place. Except if you like throwing money down the drain. If you come by boat, continue without stopping. You risk having to stop much longer than you want, since they could close the port without prior notice.
