We were not fully aware of Majorca's history before visiting the castle - very impressive. The entrance costs €3 pp and it is well worth it. It is one of the highest points in Capdepera overlooking the entire city and the horizon.

Every year, on the 3rd weekend of May, is the days you want to go. The history centre is also worth the visit. You may also want to go to Sardegna, Italy to compare the Mediterranean history.

This place is phenomenal, the walk up is very steep but once you're there you can see for miles. The building itself is still undergoing archaeological work and is an active dig site but this plays to its charm. We went before the Medieval Market...More

Travel from Cala Bona , Capdepera is about 30 mins or so by car its a small town typically Mallorcan with a town square of restaurants and cafes. The castle is good to take pictures and walk around the small town.

On the top of the hill was built this stunning castle. Fantastic attraction to spend half a day. Walls are still intact, with a beautiful church in perfect shape. Free Parking is very close.

We visited Castell de Capdepera as part of a road trip we did around the south of Mallorca. We parked outside of the town and walked up the hill to the castle but we realised later you can park much closer. There is limited parking...More

Entrance was not pricey and the display of birds of prey very good although it was not the main thrust of our visit. Brilliant views and of course a climb to get there but not a struggle really. Good leaflet on entry explaining all.

The Castle is in a hugely prominent position, visible from miles around. Walk up the steps, which is steep but easy, try and walk right round the walls. Be interesting to know if you made it or not. Most people don't. You can't visit this...More

We parked on the road at the very bottom of the hill. Good exercise walking up, but no issues with parking on the bottom road
