Robert Graves was vital to the sympathetic development of this area and his house and garden are well worth a visit. The museum is interesting but we didn't get time to see the film.

An pleasant stroll from Deia and a good insight into his life - picturesque - apart from eating and appreciating the views not too much else to do in village!

Word of advice - if you can come independently then do. As we were leaving a coach party arrived with a half-hour window, which was simply not enough, and the throng would have ruined the atmosphere. The house is a five minute walk from the centre of Deia (traffic bad, but there is a reasonably large central car park), There... More

Very interesting - we felt immersed in the life of Robert Graves during out visit. The video was a good start and set out the background - very easy to understand.

Before entering Robert Graves house, you have an opportunity to watch a 14 minute video of the poet's life. Educating and interesting start of the visit. There are no guided tours. Just a map with everything there is to know about each room of the house. The house itself has been very well preserved and gives a glance of Robert... More

Robert Graves built this house in 1929 and selected the best spot in the village . It is beautifully kept and presented to give you a real flavour of his life and work . There is a 14 minute video to see before looking round which is a must . It was not busy when we went and was a... More

I so enjoyed poking around Mr. Graves home and garden. What an absolute treasure to visit his library and read the titles on his shelves. The kitchen an inspiration, so simple and functional. The garden is charming with spectacular views. Bring a book, perhaps some of his poetry, sit on a bench under a tree in his garden, and time... More

An interesting place to visit and learn a little how life was in the early 20th century and to see where Graves lived. Lovely gardens too.

Very interesting place to visit and get a sense into the past of Robert Graves. The video at the start of the tour is informative and the house is perfectly preserved.

If you fancy yourself as an eccentric writer living in an idyllic house, come here and imagine. A lovely place to linger for a while, you don't need to be familiar with his work to see why Graves adored the house and the area. The receptionist needs to cheer up though! If you're going to have a face like a... More
