- athaelvisLeeds, United Kingdom475 contributionsAmazing white sandy beach that goes on for miles! The beach is fantastic. You can walk for miles, all the way from the marina at the top, all the way down to Sa Muro. It’s very clean, and there are plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds – we were there in July/August and didn’t have a problem getting four beds and two umbrellas. You can reserve them online (there is a poster on the umbrella) – but only for several days in a row, and you can’t change which beds once booked. However, you can hire them as normal on a daily basis from the men who go up and down the beach, and can reserve them with him too (look for the neon stickers attached to the umbrellas to see if it’s already reserved. There’s also a small safe on the umbrella if you want to store things in there while you go for a swim. One tip – most bars right on the beach (particularly the closer to the marina) are considerably more expensive than most regular bars in the resort.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 March 2024
- JANE W3 contributionsStunning BeachStunning beach. Of all the beaches I've ever visited I was amazed by this one, it seems to just go on and on. Clear waters, clean sand and plenty of space to relax comfortably without feeling like you're sitting with strangers. When we visited it was rather quiet but I was told at my hotel that the summer season had properly started yet. I imagine in the summer its a lot busier but still great!Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 March 2024
- diane w1 contributionlovely beachWhat an amazing beach !!!! Just recentyly been on holiday in majorca and absoluelty loved it , the beach is lovely!!! Its a really soft sand beach whgich is great , sometimes there isnt much space to put you towels or umberella but you always find a litlle spot. The best time to go is later on in the afternoon as the sun has gone down a bit and also more space. Had an amazing time on holiday and the beach is one of the things that made is so great for me!!!Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 July 2024
- AlessioRiva Del Garda, Italy3 contributionsBest Beach in Mallorca!Great and beautiful beach with many activities for all ages nearby. Reading the reviews I actually noticed that the prices raised from 6.50€ a day to 18.20€ a day! Sometimes the staff doesn’t even check if you payed or not. The water is really clean, there is a beautiful bridge and restaurants and bars. There is always a free spot and the beach is very large and every spot is beautiful. Awesome.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 July 2024
- SandraGermany137 contributionsA wonderful beach!Nice, long beach. Despite the great crowd, there is a place for everyone. Both for lounging on the sand itself and for sunbeds with parasols that have a safe with a code to leave your phone, wallet... when you go swimming. It is a bit more shallow and you will have to walk a bit longer to the depth to swim. Toilets are there, showers, lots of places for volleyball. There is a supermarket and a restaurant near the beach. The beach is long and depends on where you are. New restaurants are being built along the entire lenath of the beach, which will probably be for next season. This will probably make it easier for tourists to be able to buy something refreshing, eat a snack, drink coffee without having to dress up and go to a cafe or restaurant. The only thing that bothered us was that vou didn't have something on the beach, where you coul something and enjoy it on your deckchair.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 July 2024
- Jack FrostLondon, United Kingdom64 contributionsPerfect for young familiesWell kept long soft sandy beach, pretty clear water. Perfect for a family with young kids such as us, lots of space to build sand castles and shallow calm waters. Busy in August of course, with fairly regular hawkers, but other than this it was great and would recommend highly.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 August 2024
- zottek78 contributionsGreat day at the Alcudia beachGreat sandy beach. Very relaxing atmosphere (at least in September). Very nice to walk up and down the beach. Note there are no restaurants on the beach itself so come prepared with water and food. A nice feature - when you rent a shade it includes a small safe box (which you code the numbers for) and you can leave your valuables (money, cellphone) when going into the water. Jumping into the water from the boat dock was really fun for the kidsVisited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 15 September 2024

Visiting Alcudia 35 years on I was impressed to see the care that is being taken to maintain the high quality of the beach, seaweed is being collected, sand raked and great kids playground on the beach as well.
The beach shelves very gradually into the sea for a long way so kids cant get out of their depth.
The sunsets are amazing to watch from the extensive beach bars.
*** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***

The worst beach in Mallorca in my opinion.
Whilst it’s a very long sand beach with many shops and eateries along its edge, it still manages to give off the cheap package holiday vibe and is over populated by the brits and Germans on tour. The sea here is cloudy and dirty and in places smells like sewage has entered the system.
If you have the option to go to another beach do so! Any along the north of the island are sooo much nicer.
NB. The marina at the top end is quit nice and worth a walk around.

Very large and quiet beach even in high season. Long stretches of white sand and turquoise water. Price for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella €13 with safe included, but there are also various pieces of free beach. The long beach is lined with bars, chiringuitos and beach clubs. You can also come across various restaurants along the route, especially if you enter some internal streets.
Always very clean and tidy.
A must if you are looking for relaxation and tranquility without necessarily wanting to travel around the island.
We had already been 10 years ago and this time too it did not disappoint.
Especially recommended for families and children.

I have been spoiled sandy white beaches and clear water of the Caribbean Sea as a child, so I am very picky with respect to beaches. I must admit that this beach is amazing! Shallow water. Nice wave, mild water temperature in September, spacious, sun beds available (operated by the city municipality) and very accessible by road and by foot.

Beautiful beach with white sand. Wide enough to not to get too crowded. The water is shallow quite far into the sea so it is a big plus when being here with children. Visited in middle of September and 3 of 7 days was a bit windy but not too bad.

A long beach with plenty of places to sit, there is a path along the top of the beach so great access for everyone. Looks like the beach is harrowed every morning to remove any seaweed and a massive choice of sunbeds for 6.5 euros each for the day. Not the clearest of water but if you want sea, sand, showers, food nearby this is the place.

Nice beach but average for Mallorca there are much better beaches on the island with crystal clear water (cala agulla, cala varques, cala llombards, and many others place on the south cost).
The water is clean and there are many starfish,
Beach too close to the town of Port de Alcudia with lots of expensive beach restaurants serving disappointing food.
Cool for windsurfing, sailing...
The town of Port de Alcudia has a very family atmosphere and not much for party.

We stayed at the Viva Golf and so it's the beach of choice. Chairs in July 2021 were E6.50 per day. The water is murky and there are lots of screaming children around. It's OK for running along in the morning.

Siempre hace brisa, es el norte de la isla. Tramuntana. Pero en verano, von la calor q hace, siempre se sgradece. En cuanto a oker mal, no digo q algún día de temporal estando las aguas removidas no pueda haber mala olor. Pero yo q he veraneado muchos años allí, siempre he estado maravillosamente.

Hi - we are hoping to visit Alcudia with another family in August. We'll have tbe kids with us, all 10 & 13. We'd really like self catering apartments around the Port area, with a bit of entertainment for the kids and close to the beach/pubs. We'd also like to walk to the Strip if possible. We've never been to Majorca/Alcudia before, so any advice on apartments and nice places to go, would be massively appreciated. We don't mind (just a little) bit of tack ;)
Thanks in advance.

Hi Stephanie, we visited Alcudia for about 15 years - before moving here. There’s loads to do with kids and the beaches are fab! The port is a good base, nice bars and places to eat in the evening. Plus you’re on top of a 5k sandy beach - great for walking. We always preferred to stay in Alcudia old town. Culturally it’s beautiful. At night you can walk on the old walls - they’re lit. There are markets twice weekly and the bars and eateries are lovely. Then it’s a short cycle or walk to the big sandy beach or coves in the day. Whatever you opt for - hope you have a brilliant holiday :)
